1. fizzle out (verb)

Fizzle out ਸ਼ਬਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕੰਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਪਰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਬਹੁਤ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ। ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗਿੱਲੀ ਲੱਕੜ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਜੋ ਜੇ ਬਾਲੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਬਲਣ ਨੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਮਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਵਾਰ ਬੁਝਾਉਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
