Me, too! આજે આપણે નસીબદાર છે કારણકે ટોમ આજે જણાવી રહ્યો છે કે તે ટી.વી. ઉપર કયો કાર્યક્રમ જોઈ રહ્યો છે. તમારા મદદ માટે શબ્દો છે, ‘the main character’ એટલે કે મુખ્ય પાત્ર, ‘discovers he has superpowers’ એટલે કે ખબર પડે છે તે દૈવી શક્તિઓ ધરાવે છે અને 'the storyline' એટલે પટકથા.

So, does Tom like it? Yes, he uses words like 'really good' and 'interesting' to show us that he's enjoying it.

OK, he starts with 'I'm watching…', where he uses the present continuous of 'watch' because he is watching it 'at the moment'. Maybe not right now in this moment, but he hasn't finished the series, so the action is still continuing.

તે શો વિશે જણાવવા માટે 'It's about…' નો ઉપયોગ કરે છે. અહીં ટોમ કહે છે 'it's about a guy who…', જે બાદ ચાલુ વર્તમાનકાળનો ઉપયોગ કરે છે.

Yes, and instead of 'a guy' you can use any other person or thing or place or time, and instead of 'who' you can use 'that', 'which', 'where' and 'when' and then the present simple. Let's practise that, repeat after me:

It's about a girl that has superpowers.

It's about a town where everyone's a ghost.

Great! હવે જણો કે ટોમ કઈ રીતે જણાવે છે કે તે કયા નંબરનો ઍપિસોડ જોઈ રહ્યો છે.

Ok, તો એ કહે છે 'I'm on…' અને પછી ઍપિસોડનો નંબર જણાવે છે.

And he said 'episode 3', but he could also say 'I'm on the third episode'. Quick practice! Repeat after me, please:

I'm on episode 12.

I'm on the second series.

મિત્રો, ટોમ પોતાનો અભિપ્રાય કઈ રીતે જણાવે છે? જણ્વા માટે સાંભળો.

તમે 'I like…' અથવા તો વિરોધી શબ્દસમૂહ 'I don't like…' થી શરૂ કરી શકો છો. શબ્દસમૂહ પછી તમે સંજ્ઞાનો ઉપયોગ કરો. મિત્રો, તમે સંજ્ઞાથી વાક્ય શરૂ કરી શકો છો, જે બાદ ક્રિયાપદ 'to be' આવશે અને વિશેષણ. ટોમ 'is really interesting' નો ઉપયોગ કરે છે.

I really like the main character.

The main character's really interesting.

Thanks, Sam. મિત્રો, આજે તમે જણ્યું કે ટી.વી. શો વિશે અંગ્રેજીમાં કઈ રીતે જણાવવું. હવે સમય થયો છે અભ્યાસ કરવાનો. તમે અત્યારે ટી.વી. ઉપર એક રસપ્રદ કાર્યક્રમ જોઈ રહ્યાં છો, તો એ વિશે અંગ્રેજીમાં કઈ રીતે જણાવશો?  યાદ રહે કે વાક્યની શરૂઆત 'I'm' થી કરો. પોતાનો જવાબ સેમ સાથે સરખાવો.

Good! હવે કહો કે કાર્યક્રમ બે પરિવારો વિશે છે, જે સત્તા માટે લડી રહ્યાં છે. જવાબ આપતી વખતે 'two families' અને 'fight for power' નો ઉપયોગ કરો.

It's about two families who fight for power.

Well done! હવે કહો કે તમે ત્રીજા ‘series’ એટલે કે શ્રેણી જોઈ રહ્યાં છો.
