The government of Puerto Rico has called on its citizens to send in their ideas on how the Caribbean island can revive its economy.

The chief of staff of the US territory, Ingrid Vila, said Puerto Ricans and organisations could use a government website to submit specific and viable proposals on how to prevent the exodus of skilled workers and tackle a large informal economy, among other issues.

Ms Vila said that, in the past decade, almost half a million people had left Puerto Rico, which has been in a recession since 2006.

Official figures put the unemployment rate at more than 15%.

The discovery of new species of feathered dinosaur

Scientists in the United States have announced the discovery of a new species of dinosaur which was apparently covered with feathers.

With its strange snout and beak, crested skull and clawed feet, the researchers say the Anzu Wyliei looks like a cross between an ostrich and a lizard.

It's the largest North American example of a type of bird-like dinosaur that was more common in Asia.

The dinosaur is named after Anzu, a bird-demon from Mesopotamian mythology.

The researchers say there's evidence the dinosaur population thrived until about sixty-six million years ago, when it's thought they were wiped out by an asteroid strike.

Penemuan spesies baru dinosaurus berbulu

Sejumlah ilmuwan dari Amerika Serikat mengumumkan penemuan spesies baru dinosaurus yang berbulu.

Dengan bentuk hidung dan paruh yang aneh, tempurung kepala berjambul dan memiliki cakar, para peneliti mengatakan Anzu Wyliei terlihat seperti persilangan antara burung unta dan kadal.

Spesies ini adalah contoh terbesar dari Amerika Utara untuk jenis dinosaurus yang menyerupai burung yang lebih umum ditemukan di Asia.

Dinosaurus ini dinamai Anzu yang diambil dari setan burung dari mitologi Mesopotamia.

Para peneliti mengatakan terdapat bukti populasi dinosaurus itu berkembang sekitar 66 juta tahun lalu, saat mereka diperkirakan sudah punah akibat hantaman asteroid.
