Tevez scored his first goal for Manchester United

In their first match since the shock departure 突然离职 of manager Jose Mourinho, Chelsea struggled to make an impact after the sending off 罚下场 of Mikel Jon Obi in the first half.

The game drew special attention as it was the first match for Chelsea under their new manager Avram Grant.

Mourinho also made a statement describing his time at Chelsea as a "beautiful and rich period" in his life.

He went on to thank the Chelsea supporters for what he described as a "never-ending love story 永不中止的爱情故事".

Speculation is rife 大量的推测 in the UK over Mourinho's future, with many pundits 评论人士 predicting he will become the manager of the Portugese national team while others suggest he will go to a major European side such as Barcelona or Inter Milan.

His successor 接班人 Avram Grant will face enormous pressure from the Chelsea fans and the British press 英国媒体.
