Tips n' Tricks
So are you all packed? Have you got your passport, tickets, spare socks and a list of all the bands you want to see? What else would you need with little over a week to go?
SXSW Baby! have a few ideas. They’ve spotted an interesting development at sxswinfo.com. Stick that url into your mobile phone’s internet browser and you can sort artists and showcases by time or venue, and even keep up to date with who’s playing right now (well not right now…).
If you’re still not sure of those last minute showcase choices then the folks at SXSW Baby! Also point us in the direction of Last FM’s Band Aid which gleans a must see list from your personal listening preferences.
If scrobbling and the like isn’t for you, why not try an old-fashioned recommendation by the good people at Donewaiting, who this weekend caught up with “Polyglot pop-punk-folk, Eastern European division” singer Alina Simone.
Not to be outdone, the Official SXSW blog have enlisted the help of former U2, Beck and Morrissey producer Joe Chiccarelli, who lists Sheffield’s Richard Hawley, Tim Easton and oxford comma lovers Vampire Weekend.

Complain about this postToo bad I will be at South by Southwest only for Interactive and Film and will miss Van Morrison and up and coming bands you are featuring.
Music will be included in my Just Over 50 and Not Dead Yet Interactive Panel on March 8 with the presence of Ted Cohen.
See you there maybe.
