Good day to you all and here’s to a top Monday. And a top week. It’s the last day of winter-praise be! Good riddance! Even if you were pretty mild. And even if March can be rubbish. We will still celebrate your ending-pass the daffs.
Hope your weekend was mighty fine or at least quite bearable in a nothing-went-wrong kind of way. I’m trying to come up with a long list of show-biz moments which peppered my weekend and gave it a sparkle, a veneer of fascinating moments. But there were none I’m afraid. With the exception of finding that there were 3 peppers of the price of 2-that was a thrill. But the rest was super-normal which was fine by me.
Book Club today with Anthony Quinn’s Freya. Read a chapter here! It tells of 2 friends Freya Wyley and Nancy Holdaway, the story running from VE Day 1945 to the 60s. It’s the story of 2 women with a devoted and competitive friendship (and a bloke called Robert who entangled with them both). Lots of political and personal turmoil right here!
And yes of course LEAP YEAR songs. It is our very occasional (every 4 years to be precise) feature whenever a LEAP DAY give us the opportunity.
