gorgeous episode last night. thank you eastenders for keeping them together and letting them walk off hand in hand. I was in tears, this couple are going to be missed sooooo much. what fantastic acting!! i hope one day they will return and together.

Farewell my beloved Chryed, they deserved to get their happily ever after. I am sad to see them leave but it was the right decision because they have been criminally underused in the past 2 years and their last storyline was only bearable because of Johnny and Marc's chemistry and talents. Chryed had a groundbreaking love story between 2 very different men which captured the hearts of many viewers, they had a very loving and tactile relationship and had their share of obstacle but I certainly would'nt call it one of the most turbulent in the square of despair. #vivachryed

The two actors were just appalling. Elliot so weak and Partridge just a pair of biceps and a quiff. Perhaps no more faces dripping glycerine tears for a while. The scripts for most of their episodes were just cliche after cliche, and the actors made it worse by displaying no convincing emotions, none at all. And of course the old Eastenders thing of rushing to the tube station after someone and missing them. Then, again of course, the reappearance of Christian saying I couldn't leave you, or similar. Dreadful. Vom.

Totally agree with you Myaanika re Kat. We seem (only seem) to have been shown that it's one of the Branning brothers, but who knows, remember the revelation that George Michael was the son of, what was his name? Really you had to actively ban your brain from imagining the ghastly coupling.

Yes it really has been dragging on ridiculously. Read that Jessie Wallace herself actually hasn't been told who it is, so she just has to keep acting smouldering but secretive whenever she is being filmed with any of the various possibles.

But, see baby George Michael, they could be going to surprise us, so maybe it's, oh, what the hell, the market inspector, or Kim, or Tamwar, or - aargh, Jean or Mrs. Masood?! Aiee!

I'm so glad that they left together in the end and worked out their troubles, i thought they had a beautiful ending and cound't help but cry through most of it, although of course i wish that they did't leave but i think it was the right time. i wish John and Marc all the luck in their new careers and hope that the characters Christian and Syed will live on in the hearts of fans...!

It was a cliched contrived and utterly unconvinging ending, really it was. Work out their troubles? Well, when did Syed ever do anything but screw up and lie and fail - so it would continue. Then there would be more face-downs, more glycerine tears.



Eastenders is not too good at the moment, but this was one of the worst-conceived pretend partnerships ('Enders will be I hope better after their departure. Please God they will be killed in a plane crash, so they can never come back). Or perhaps reasonably-well-conceived but unfortunately both unconvincingly scripted and terribly acted. Down to a newly-bad level on both counts.

I meant unconvincing. Not, eurgh, "unconvinging".
