There are more schedule changes afoot thanks to the footie, but the good news is that alongside a half hour ep on Tuesday there will be two hour-long episodes this week!

That's two and a half hours of Walford magic. Hooray!

Monday 18 June : No EastEnders

Tuesday 19 June: 7.00pm - 7.30pm on BBC One

Wednesday 20 June: 8pm-9pm on BBC One

Friday 22 June: 7.30pm - 8.30pm on BBC One

This is all now fully confirmed.

In the meantime, here's a juicy peek at what to expect...

Why doesn't the bbc have a digital channel for all the sports

Why can't the BBC put EastEnders on BBC2 when Footie is on BBC1!? Or even BBC3 when the original 10:00pm slot is for those who really want to see it? I love EastEnders and I just think it's a little unfair how EastEnders can't win over the footie when other soaps are.. Come on EastEnders! Find another time slot rather than wait an extra night or so!

for pity's sake ... the UK has gone digital. stick the footy on BBC3 or BBC4 and leave "mainstream" BBC1 and BBC2 alone!! or even on the red button!

Janine dont know what to do anymore i dont think she sould marry him untill she knows the truth and when she knows ALL then she can decide if she would still want to marry him because its not fair on Janine if she dont know the truth. also she should be able to bo happy for once and have a marriage she really wants to be in and not be in it for the money anymore. and Janine looks so sweet and inocent in that video preview. and i think the 2 hour episode should be Janine and michaels wedding hope it is. XXX i love Janine

and its not fair that when something has to be on bbc1 eastenders has to always moved nothing else always gets moved who agrees with me? and who do i complain to about this?

Not sure why the BBC cant just put the Football on 301 like it does when there are alternative viewing angles, commentaries etc. I mean I'm actually a football fan so this doesn't bother me as such, just thought Id point out the obvious and less messy alternative.

i dont see why the bbc have decided to change EastEnders schedule, just for football, there is no reason to why it cant be put on bbc2 like when the world cup was on, what is so special about the euro's to have to take EastEnders off, as they have a big enough fan bass. i sure if we done a survey EastEnders would clearly be at the top.

YAY its de big wedding DAY !! dem 2 r de best wicked couple ever and dats why i hate de 2 ov dem

  • Comment number 15.

Why do we pay a licence for football surely the sport could be put on another channel!!! its so unfair to assume the majority of the country are sport fanatics!

  • Comment number 16.

put the footy on bbc2 if footy fans are that bothered about it they'll flick over. it's not like it's usually on 1 so they are all ready having to flick over. this will then make the beebs less popular channel temporarily more popular. i love pat. janine is smelly and roxy is a dirt bag, i seen her and it woz ruff.

who cares about crappy football.....eastneders is waaaay more important, besides if they r that desperate to show the football they should make a football channel or show it at a later time rather than taking eastenders place!!! grrr, im not amused bbc!:E

I hate football and I MISS EE!! Made the last two weeks rubbish theres nothing on tv anyway... but now they replace EE with football what a joke!

You are losing your fan base for Eastenders; surely you know we want our little half-hour fix every evening AT THE TIME WE EXPECT IT, & this is one of the reasons we haven't (yet) withheld our licence fee. You are indulging yourselves at our expense; you should not be trying to compete with Sky or other sports channels. Football? At Eastenders time? - you really seem to have no idea what people want from BBC1. That would be reliability, good drama (for which you are well imbursed through the licence fee) and, above all, professionalism.

In the meantime, it's been 100% confirmed that the final hour-long ep of the week will be on Friday 22 June.
