Jay and Abbie are so cute! Awwwwww!:) They might become my favorite couple. But on the other hand I am disappointed in Jay because he won't go to the police to tell them about Ben. Even though Phil is very fond of him and has been trying to be like a father to him and Jay considers the Mitchells his family. They are not though, and his real father was killed - has he forgotten that?

Why are the butchers moving away to be closer to Bianca

@ HeatherSmileFace: Patsy Palmer wants a break (not known how long), so the EE writers are sending Bianca back to prison. And Carol+the kids are moving away to be closer to the prison to visit Bianca.

She's having a break for 6 months .

Monalisa, that what I was talking about! Phil does love Shirley in his own way, but he thinks that as Ben is his son, he has to protect him no matter what. And that's why he thought betraying Shirley was the right choice after all. But of course, he can't help missing her. And speaking about Abbie and Jay, I think they have this chemistry mostly because the guy who plays Jay is a really good actor, bigger than EE IMHO, and he can play everything, including romance.

bigsmilie i dont think he loves her in his own way. he has been absolutely awful to her. even when he didnt need to be. even before heathers death he treated her awful. when he said she was only ever there for the boys i thought that confirmed it for me that he thought he was using her but now she's gone he's starting to realize how much he loves her and wishes he'd been nicer to her the audio description for that scene said he was struggling to reject her and was gonna say something different till ben walked in.



when other people mention her - dot, roxy, ben, jay he just ignores them and is rude. if he really only loved her "in his own way" wouldn't he say something and just be generally nice about her? i thought loving in your own way and beingin love were two different things. ie if he loved her in his own way then he would leave her for sharon as he's been in love with sharon before.

I am tired of seeing Bianca come back for a month or two and then vanish again. The studio needs to install a revolving door and label it 'Patsy Palmer'. She only returned at christmas and now she is going for a six month break!?? I wish I had a job that would let me do that. And now we will be losing the whole family? For what it is worth, I like Carol and would like her to remain on the square.

As for the Phil, Ben, Shirley & Heather story, I think Ben needs a big dose of Karma served up to him. He thought it was clever to lie to police and put his dad in jail, so it is only right that he gets 'grassed' on. The story is dragging on too much now, as I knew it would, so I just want Jay to go to the police and spill the beans.

Maybe I am just in a grumpy mood though. I am really not happy about Carol leaving, if that is true.

PaganLyle: Tell me about it! lol I know, Patsy gets a special treatment. Well, her character is one of the iconic characters. The same goes for "Peggy", for example. She left and it does not look like she is coming back, but the writers didn't kill her character off just because she asked them not to. It would be easier for them to make Peggy die in that fire at the Vic, and that would explain, for example, why she wasn't there even for Pat's funeral, but if you create an iconic character like that, maybe you have the right to have some diva demands!lol

Moalisa: Oh well, my opinion is based on my life experience. I have seen a lot of guys who are just unable to treat their women right - even if they do care about them! IMHO, Phil is that type of guy.

bigsmilie he treated kate really nice! i truly believe he could treat shirley really nice if he let himself. he has been really nice and genuine to her since heather died. so he can be nice when he wants to be.



also he told her he's used her. i think thats what he wants to believe.

Monalisa: Maybe that is because EE have different writers now. As I have told before, I started watching EE just 3-4 (5max)years ago, so I can only tell who Phil has turned into now. Yes, the characters can change in EE (some are even played by different actors!), but not in real life. The same with Ian - he used to be horrible to all of his women (Poor Jane! She should have escaped ages ago!), but the situation with Mandy is so different, and he even spends his cash on her (unheard of!).

bigsmilie i think its a lot more complex than phil just generally treating women like crap. i think he's always been nice to his women (he was only horrible to kathy when he was drunk) Lisa was the only one he treated badly and we all know why that was. i think if shirley was a sharon then phil would be completely happy with her and treat her a lot better. we've only started to see his real feelings for shirley now and i think when they get back together we'll see the full extent of them

I can't believe monilisa abd bigsmile are saying all that stuff about Phil! It was so obvious that Phil was lying when he told Shirly that she was there just for the boys. It was obvious that he never wanted to let her go but he felt he had to do it for Ben. He loves Shirky but he loves Ben more, after all Ben is his son! Parents love their kids more than anyone

Yay, hello there Of Course!:) Yes, you are right - that's what I've been saying! But I also think Phil is stupid first not letting Ben be who he wants to be and now helping him to get away with the murder.
