I am so excited about the return of the webcams...Thanks Eastenders I just love watching the commings and goings on the set. Im wondering why the Vic and the Beales seem to be undergoing work? could this be due to the buildings needing to be "smartened" up to keep up with the demands of HD filmimg? xJx

I once saw them with lights and camera's , and now the webcam's are stopped wrking cuz its night now and i can still see on the cam the day light view

The Webcams are not refreshing quickly enough, sometimes it can be several hours before they refresh !!

There's lots of activity on the Turpin Road camera... looks like they are filming a scene with Fatboy's van outside R & R!

I see the same everyday and at night its not even dark.

The update time seems to normally be set for every five minutes, which is not very frequent. However, a lot of the time they are just not working and the pictures may be a day old.



Come on, if you've gone to the effort to install the cams and publicise them, make sure that they work.

The Web Cams on this Site are not good enough, most of the time they are NOT WORKING !!

Hi fans , ''CENSORED FILMING'' means that they are filming a scene for christmas ...

last week when the square cam was on, it was pooring it down with rain, and all i seen was a bright orange jacket, which i believe was Nitin Ganatra, who plays Masood. :) I SEEN HIM WONDERING UNDER LOTS OF UMBRELLA'S!!!!! :D how cool i thought to myself, so i called my mum and dad to have a look lol they didn't seem intrested, but i was like, wow! aha.

been watching the webcams all day, i hope i do see sum filming

Tues 7th Sept 10 at 1310 a Red Routemaster double decker bus on George Street, with a large crowd near the bridge, also getting on & off the bus, some appeared to very smartly dressed, was it a Royal Visit in Albert Square ??

Wonder how long it takes to fix the cams when they're broken? That's if they are ... and no comments since 7th September? Nobody tried viewing them for the last 4 days? Maybe they don't want us to see what's going on. Oh what a pity.

@lisajaskola The webcams seem to only update every 4 or 5 minutes, which is very infrequent compared to most webcams. Sometimes they are frozen for a long period - even days. They may sometimes do this when they are filming something they don't want us to see, but I think frequently they are just not working.

OOAH!! NOO!! the webcams are now switched off every weekend ... but why?? i love to see them.. :-(

What's happened to the tree on Turpin Road? It was in front of the beauty shop on the Turpin Road cam and has been there for ages!

It must be Christmas in Walford, it looks like a Christmas Decoration has been put on the Bridge on George Street.

well ima bit disapointed...really wanted to see the main link,evry ones comments looks like they had a look-all a bit confusing,i really thnk the eastenders web site should do a link to the actors like samathha(ronnie) rita(roxy) and scott(jack) or evan just a pre reacored tape of what there up to with the show and stuff like that x

I simply love that the webcams are back- there's a certain comfort in just knowing that set is peacefully there , even when nothing is going on, even when it's nighttime- it's just nice to know that the Square is there. For me specially, living in the US and not having access to the show or BBC Player, it's at least nice to be able to see the set and on occassion see a few people walking about and cameras lit- very nice..I really long for the day they expand the BBC Player for viewing across the pond and being able to see clips of the show again...so many people here are willing to pay the BBC licensing fee if allowed to view it- but for now- heavy sigh- the webcams are my solace...thc for bringing them back EE!!!

i've just seen what looks like Jack Barnning outside R&R.

ive just seen some guy with a suitcase walk along Turpin Road, and I can see the camera cranes where their shooting a scene. On george street just seen a few people push something like a trailer.

theres now loads of people on George street.

Alot of work going on in Argee Bhagee. And I see the Christmas trees are on sale beside R and R.

Maybe this is a stupid question but do I need my own personally webcam to see the EE set because I can only see George Street and Turpin Road and the Square is blocked out at the moment, also which time is the best time to log on to see any action because I only use my computer at night! what with working full time and being a Mum!

biggesteastendersfan, yes I'm afraid it is a silly question, but that's ok. I think you are seeing all there is to see at the moment. George Street and Turpin Road are the only ones working, the one looking across the square and into Bridge Street is off because they don't want us to see what the new Vic looks like. That's also the one that normally has most of action.



The webcam is just used to put a continually updating picture on a webpage and you don't need anything special to view them. The EE webcam only updates every 4 or five minutes, so you can't really see the action - also you have to press refresh to get an updated picture. I doubt whether you will see much after dark even if they are filming, they can be filming at any time of day, but not generally at weekends.

While the most hated character in EastEnders is on screen you HATE them, but when they leave EastEnders you realise how much you really love them.x :)

Please bring back The Square webcam. You need new cams like Emmerdale. They update very quickly without having to refresh the page, and they never turn them off.

I very much agree with Dublin-2006. I don't get Emmerdale here in South Africa but have checked out their webcams and they are much better quality. EE webcams only update every 4 minutes so if you happen to be lucky enough to spot someone, by the time you refresh they have disappeared again.



Please consider an upgrade of your webcams.
