I think Ronnie, Jack & Phil we're most convicing. The rest i didn't buy at all. It would have been amzing had it went down either of those routes. More so Ronnie & Jack. So glad you've decided to release these, even just to tease us... Stacey did it very well and i think being ill or loosing her voice helped a little with the confession, it was quiet and stuff. Worked great. Gosh... fab! x

Stacey has so much going on already it seems like a waste to give her this.

I loved Jack or Stacey's endings! What would be really good is if there is a clip of Stacey actually going into the Vic and we see her kill Archie!

I agree with you chris! Ronnie's is great! I'm sure sam womack could have pulled off a great performance on the live epi, but still a round of applause for Lacey! now that was good reveal!

Ronnie's scene was by far the best. No-one else even acted shaken up, considering bradley had just fell off a roof!

Thanks for uploading. Great to see the alternative endings. Jack's and Ronnie's were good, don't believe the others at all, but Stacey's was the best by far. It made most sense timing-wise, that she would confess after the love of her life died in vain and it was said with so much more feeling than all the others - probably also because she had been in the most scenes in the live ep, all of which were very emotional. I agree that her losing her voice probably also increased the emotion and feeling in a strange way. Well done again and get well soon Lacey. Ooh, it would have been interesting to see Ian's too, shame theres no vid, think his would have been good.

It seems odd hearing them all say the same lines in a row like that! Ronnie's was great, and Jack's, Peggy's and Phil's all worked really well too. Any of them would have been good for the live reveal. Wish we could see Ian's.

I read something on another website which made me think... Why have two characters who were barely connected to Archie be the ones to carry on this plot?

Surely it would have made more sense had Ronnie or Jack done it. They were connected to Archie and the implications which would have come with the relevations would have been great to watch.

Roxy finding out her sister killed her beloved dad,

Jack coping with the fact the women he loves, indirectly killed his relative..

Roxy finding out Jack(the father of her baby) killed his daughters grandfather..

Max finding out his brother indirectly killed his son?



There would have been far more exciting things come out if it were them and it would have been far more satisfying had it been one or the other.

Stacey already has her bi-polar route, surely this could have been given to another character?

I still think Staceys endings was the best, but I did like Ronnie and Jacks endings too,but it would of been to simple to be Ronnie as we knew how much she hated her dad n sooo glad it wern't billy. Also I think it was clever how it was stacey as you didnt expect it to be her n now there will be lots of twists and turns like will max tell the police or wilL he stick by her because bradley loved her ???

Watching all these endings made it all great. Thanks for showing all these videos, but it is disappointing that we din't get to see Ian's ending. I liked teh way Peggy acted when she confessed. Besides Stacey hers was far most the best. Besides Stacey I had suspected Peggy and Jack, so it was great watching them confess to the murder.



Howevr it still doesn't make sense why Max would murder Archie! Please someone explain it to me!!!!!!

I have looked at the alternative scripts and when Peggy confesses that she killed Archie she confesses to Ronnie. But watching the actual endings Peggy confesses to Phil. Isn't this strange.

I really don't understand why is that. This is really stupid. Anyway again why would Max kill Archie, what is his motive. I am going to keep posting the same comment until someone answers my Q, so please somone tell me why would Max kill Archie.

For me the most convincing ending was Jack's. I think it's because we never see an emotional side to him and Scott seemed to remember that Bradley had just fallen to his death! Ronnie's ending was also very good but we often see her emotional side and it wouldn't have been shocking anyway since she's probably the one who despises Archie the most. I like the menacing feeling of Phil's ending, he showed almost no feeling, and it reminds us of when he failed to killed Archie before so he had a valid reason.



I didn't like Ryan's ending! He just kept glancing at the windows! and didn't seem shaken at poor Bradley's death. And like Ishtiab Khan I still don't understad the reason for Max killing Archie!

Oh and the reason why Peggy told Phil the confession is because originally Peggy told Phil to kill Archie but in the end he didn't. Peggy was angry and disappointed in him so Peggy confessing to him made perfect sense. Oh how I love Eastenders (^_^)

I also noted that in the written scripts Peggy confesses to Ronnie not Phil, maybe they had a last minute change in the dress rehearsal?



Motive for Max: Not a great one, but as far as I can gather he was annoyed because Archie's complicated dealings with Ian's loan led to Max's financial downfall (something to do with the scam Max tried to pull) and then Tanya leaves him. He loses everything. If I remember rightly they showed him glancing over at the Vic stony faced just after he sent his daughter back with Tanya on xmas day. They may have written in some other scenes later on with Stacey to show other motives, such as that Bradley had run into him earlier in the evening and blurted out that Archie had raped Stacey and she was pregnant (Max would have wanted everything to be right for Bradley after what he had done to them in the past), or maybe they would have claimed that Max saw Bradley coming out of the Vic (his house is quite high up those steps) and went in to see what had happened and ended up killing him. Doesnt really make for a good motive though I agree.

I am hoping the two hander explains the following:

It all happens so fast apparently (Archie is still on the floor after Bradley hits him) so if Peggy, Phil and Stacey all go into the Vic why do they not bump into each other? And did Ian overhear anything when he went in for the laptop? (I think he heard Phil and is too scared to say anything)

Also, if Peggy, Ronnie, Ian etc are all stood glaring at the front door of the Vic how come none of them see Bradley come out and Stacey go in? Or do they start the staring contest after Bradders comes out and whilst Stacey is in there? And why dont they see each other stood there staring? Does she go out through the back? If so why doesnt she bump into Phil coming in through the back, or Ian? Does she hide upstairs for a while (Santer says she was missing for a while on xmas day)Does she sit upstairs/in the cellar and gather her thoughts and hear others come in and think "well there's plenty of other suspects here, I may just get away with it the police wont know where to start?"

Bring on the two hander for some vital jigsaw pieces. A re -enactment of it all would be fab, they could shoot it really quickly just to show us, we dont even mind if they dont bother putting the xmas decorations up, just show us how she did it without getting seen!!

i think ronnie and jack is the most convincing the rest just arent apart from staceys that was convincing and i agree why would max want to kill archie? i think ronnie and jacks are believable because sam and scott work really well together and just bounce of eachother right chemistry together lacey and jake were really good :D

I enjoyed Stacey's ending admitting to have killed Archie.. I think it would have been much better if Jack was the one who admitted it to Ronnie.. It would of brught more intresting story structure along with it... Although I am looking forward to seeing what happens with the story line now... They should of been an online voting page for the viewers to vote who they wanted to have killed Archie.. Get the viewers/fans involved abit.

Ronnie's ending was the best,she seemed very convincing but thats because Samantha Womack is an amazing actress,she always gives 110%. Much love to eastenders for an amazing episode,i was very shocked when Stacey was revealed as the killer.

I think it would have been better if it was Billy cos you wouldn't suspect that. Jack's ending was pretty good though...I wish they had made it someone less obvious than Stacey though.

I think the Stacy storyline will be interesting. I knew it would be a female or a weak male character because of the way Archie was killed. Although after seeing Jacks ending it would have been interesting to see the aftermath between Jack and Max (who is my favorite character right now)



Jack needs some story lines, he hasn't had much of an impact since he came in to the square. I was hoping he would be simular to Steve Owen who was a top gangster. Jacks relationship with Ronnie does remind me of Steve and Mel, he just needs to do something. Eastenders is great when they go gangster.



Bradley/ Charlie did very well, it would have worked if he killed Archie but in a way I'm glad he didn't. It's nice to see a realistic character in a soap even he did have funny attire. Wish you all the best Charlie, maybe you will be in one of my films one day.



I would also like to congratulate Lacy/ Stacey, Jake/Max and Samantha/ Ronnie for good work.

I like the idea of Stacy being the murderer (although initially I felt that she was too scared of Archie to go anywhere near hem) but I think I would liked it to be someone unpredictable. I actually thought it would be Glenda (Roxy and Ronnie's mother or sorts) with the motive of inheriting Archie's money to pay for her clothes lol. I humbly stand corrected as always.....

Is no one else wondering how the alternative endings were filmed as it was a LIVE episode? When could they do it? Did they pre-film the confessions and just add it at the end of the live bit?!?

ahh i would have loved it to be ronnie. i really wanted her to get revenge for all the evil things archie did to her and i'm gutted bradley had to die, i wish he and stacey could have just run away as planned and he be written out that way so that he could maybe come back in the future! as it seems they've written stacey out for a while as well anyway it would have been easy to make up some reason why she came back without him...i dunno...too late now of course! but i am really sad about bradley still, i cried loads watching his funeral the other day.



it was really shocking at first when we found out stacey did it, but i do think it was believable. billy, ryan or max definitely wouldn't have been, i'm not sure jack would make sense either, he'd be too aware of the possible consequences. and if it was janine that would be boring, she's done it all before!

I loved these alternative endings, thanks for uploading them! My favourites were Phil's, Ronnie's and Jack's, they were the most convincing. Even though they were all vertually the same when you released the scripts, on screen is way better!

What a great episode, I feel there is something missing now without Peggy behind the bar, I have just found out that she is still on UK TV though as the queen of bingo, I love here giggle! However I am very much looking forward to watching the coming episodes with Kat and Alfie.

I hope Peggy comes back to the Sq soon.

Bring her back & get rid of the deadwood such as Steve McFadden, Patsy Palmer, Sid Owen, Charlie Brooks, the new Lauren & Ben, the `actress` who plays Whitney etc.
