Wow! What a week we've had! Who else is an emotional wreck?

First, we said goodbye to two dearly loved stars, George & Nina (Russell & Sinead). A highly charged and emotional start to the 4th series which left everyone a bit shell shocked.

Then Toby introduced us to the second scroll. A precious part of the vampire mythology which we can work together to decipher, and hopefully, unlock some of the mysteries of series 4. So the work began…

Then we got that beautifully written script, a last, intimate moment between two lovers, friends and frightened new parents. 'Framed in the doorway, she looks beautiful'. Sigh. And before we had a chance to recover, the letter from George to his baby daughter, Eve. Double sigh.

So, the Being Human rollercoaster was off once more - back into the light with a beautiful fairy tale from Tom. A hint of the naivety and comedy to come from the amazing Michael Socha.

We Are Human. A poignant end to an emotionally charged, hell of a week for everyone (and for me - I can tell you!).

Nipples. Human skin. Toxic blood ingestion. Vampire recorders. Murder. And we still barely know Hal!

Who's ready for Episode 2? Be here tomorrow night for the live blog - Being Human 1955, Sunday 9pm on BBCThree.

    yeah

    the countdown begins

  • Comment number 2.

    Phew.

  • Comment number 3.

  • Comment number 4.

Oh I really do adore Tom! I can't wait to see all the Tom/Annie interaction we'll be getting this season. They didn't get much of it in S3 and I just adore the whole mothering/older sistering vibe Annie's got going for her. Always the matriarch of our little gang, no matter how it changes.

    Very excited for tomorrow!

  • Comment number 5.

    and we all have it

scrolls , but wr do not have the answer

    a fade away from Nina

    a farewell from George

    HH house rules

A tale which says more about the teller than the listener

    A coward Cutler

A secret now in the open

    and

three supernaturals looking for a miracle

  • Comment number 6.

@ewan - thanks for the link, and heads up on new blog.

  • Comment number 7.

Thanks Rebecca! Glad the tech difficulties were solved. And as I said on the last post -

    thanks ewan! (for the link)

Classic example of an authority figure dealing with a teen and his negotiation tactics. Tom is coming into his own!

  • Comment number 8.

the room looks to be Mitchell's room?

  • Comment number 9.

Thanks Ewan - off to watch clip now!

  • Comment number 10.

"And we're missing one aren't we?"

    *Mumbles*"Nokillin'vampires."

  • Comment number 11.

Thanks Rebecca! I, for one, am most certainly ready for Ep 2. Cannot wait.

D'ya know I don't think Lenora gets enough praise. She is truly fantastic and sooooo funny. Annie you are a hoot. And as for Tom, well as I said earlier, I might just be switching sides you know. Maybe a vampire is just for three series and not for four. Only kidding loving Hal too and Cutler - just think that Tom is going to be soooooooo good in this series.

Rebecca - will the live blog be same as last week - from 8 pm with everyone and their auntie leaving you on your tod at 9?

  • Comment number 12.

8 - it is Mitchell's room! I recognise the wallpaper behind Annie - see my previous posts, I'm a bit obsessed with HH's wallpaper :)

  • Comment number 13.

@sasha it will indeed. I shall be here. A bit more relaxed than last time with any luck! x

  • Comment number 14.

Back to the poster and its connection to the work of Shepard Fairey, as pointed out on the last post (not similar enough to cause legal problems mind you), few thoughts:

First, Shepard Fairey's most famous 'obey' sticker (which features the face of Andre the Giant) takes inspiration from the cult movie "They Live" in which aliens use broadcasting signals to conceal their true appearance and use subliminal messaging control the human population - with hidden words such as 'obey,' 'conform,' 'consume.' (Not so unlike what our vampires?)

Second, Fairey is know for his detailed text and designs - so with close inspection you see small text or symbols that support the overall message. Not so with the BH poster. But... the middle poster, it's a bit beat up. On close inspection, anyone else notice the outline of scratches around the raised fist?

It almost looks like it maps to an open hand - yikes! Maybe lines between good and bad are not so clear cut - after all 'we are human,' doesn't that remove ww (and ghosts) from the mix? This future is looking really bleak – fingers crossed it will change - I'm as hopeful as Regus with his smile.

  • Comment number 15.

Tom is brilliant – naive and knowing, obedient and rebellious, a gentle baby-minding, story telling, vampire killer...

I’m going to do another quote countdown on twitter tomorrow if anyone’s interested– starting in the morning this time, not running all night! (I need my beauty sleep, I REALLY need my beauty sleep...)

This week it’s all about Tom and McNair and their best lines from series three.

    It’s #McNairDay!

  • Comment number 16.

Goodness. Sorry - that was a long post. Apparently I'm also as chatty as Dewi

  • Comment number 17.

LOVE IT! Small print of "can kill a vampire if attacked".

I'm at a comedy gig tomorrow night so can't watch it live! :-( Gutted

  • Comment number 18.

@aqua - yay! Argh, tho, am out most of the day tomorrow, but will catch as many as I can!

getting back to the "WW blood is lethal to vamps" - said this when it first came out - suspect G found out the hard way when fighting EW....and that's how EW was killed. Is it possible, that only a select few vamps know this? i.e. OO's, those high on the political ladder.....therefore, Griffin told those who killed Nina to wear the face protectors?

  • Comment number 19.

18 - But Griffin had the fangs out to bite George and seemed surprised when George took a chunk out of his own wrist and let blood flow into Griffin's mouth so don't think he knew until it was too late.

  • Comment number 20.

Hi Sunny! Hope I've got your favourites included...

I think the ww blood toxicity is a lost secret , only remembered by the OOs and most vampires rarely see a werewolf so it just doesn't seem relevant. Seth and his playmates said that about George - haven't seen one of them in years - or something similar.

Good theory about Wyndam - although I still want him to have been ripped apart so he can come back!

  • Comment number 21.

    @emimarie

do not apologize , I would bore Dewi to tears when it comes to talkativeness

it takes all to make the world go round

  • Comment number 22.

19 - good point. But perhaps he didn't know that G knew this? How did the vamps know that Wyndam was killed by G?

@aqua - hiya! I'm sure you do - they're all so good! and I'm with you, EW can be resurrected, and needs to be, as he stars prominently in S5.....

(@TW: Wyndam, S5) Can you imagine Wyndam AND Fergus in S5?!!!! oh yes, what a good idea that is LT!

  • Comment number 23.

20- I am completely convinced that EW will be back - and am not convinced yet that George did kill him at all. I think it could be his voice at the start of Ep 1 announcing that the vamps have won - what do you mean wishful thinking? It is no such thing :-)

  • Comment number 24.

although, think Tom and Fergus are going to have a go. Tom is so coming into his own (like to see it), and Annie seems to be taking over leadership role, so suspect there will be a fight with Fergus at some point....

  • Comment number 25.

Of course EW is coming back!

We just need to keep saying it and it will be the case...

  • Comment number 26.

23 - I like the way you think!!!!! will have to re-listen to see if I think it's him...but kind of doubt it.

  • Comment number 27.

25 - yes! for sure! It shall be so!

  • Comment number 28.

George kills Mitchell,l understand that, but Wyndham never in a moth of sundays, not unless Wyndham made the mistake of going for a casual stroll on a full moon in the woods.

  • Comment number 29.

Wyndham's death is fishy to the least. It is bad enough Herrick managed a nutty dark angel/heir and died with that curious creepy smile; but an OO without a dark angel, that is utterly unbelievable.

I can accept Wyndham is dead, but it was his choice under his conditions. In plain English, he is dead yes, but proper dead no. No way by a thousand miles or years

  • Comment number 30.

    Ding Dong the Wyndhams Dead!

  • Comment number 31.

    Have to say this.

Arrogance and a sense of invincibility Vs Enraged Werewolf protecting his child.

    Edgar is dead.

  • Comment number 32.

    31. Thank you fellow WW, you understand my 30. Sorry Wyndy Wenches, we still love you and yes I want more detail of his death.

  • Comment number 33.

31: Edgar will appear again. Cutler won't last beyond the series. If timing works out ok for Lee Ingleby then... Edgar will be back. And George knew it

  • Comment number 34.

    @ewan

why would Wyndham attack a WW as a WW?

    arrogant , yes; suicidal, nope.

beside Wyndham was killed before Nina, if you read the unseen scene, Eve is born 9 days earlier when the scene is set and that is two weeks before a change. No way near Gand N are in Were shape, as for the idea to transform by forcing himself into a change; the result was dubious, G died.

Oh, I grant you W is dead; yes but not proper dead . If proper dead, then there is somewhere an explaination as why, otherwise this will unravel at one point

  • Comment number 35.

@lycan and @ewan - #narrowseyes - it's not nice to mock the Man from Del Monte. Especially when he's not proper dead. Especially when he's learned a few tricks in his 1000+ years. Especially when he's fond of sending werewolves to Regents Park. Fair warning, you two.

  • Comment number 36.

Mr Del Monte, he say arrrrggggggggggg!, He never go to Regent Park no more

he he he..... I got Toms little Bro Tim down ere to look after me.

  • Comment number 37.

A prolem facing this season is what I call the fourth season syndrome or the X-files curse. We all know how it went 'not right' for Chris Carter, TW is a born story teller, I believe he can keep the tapestry flowing; but things have to keep some sort of internal logic

The toxic WW blood, mentionned casually along Nina's death and following the revelation Wyndham is dead... unless Nina held the feet, while Annie the hands and George staked hil... and in the next five minutes all the vamps of Bristol had HH burned down.

The Alternate option is W attacked during a change: not buying it and finally

the vamps wait... wait, it boggles the mind, they wait till Nina comes out of the house to jump on her , because thet did not dare when G was doing the shopping ??? or Gand N shopped over the internet and the vamps did not dare to attack, ok they would not have cross the threshold but a few grenades...

  • Comment number 38.

36 - L'il Tiny Tim's no match, no problem, no use (except perhaps a new rug for the family room....)

  • Comment number 39.

    38. Tim wud make a horrible rug, hes got Bad skin (Sells J-cloths) Cu in the park for Walkie tomorrer?# wags tail and gives "spaniel sad eyes"

  • Comment number 40.

Question about the House Rules: If Tom is not to have any girls over to the house, what happens when he finds a a nice girlfriend?

Must be off. Busy day tomorrow - survey work at Regents Park has been ordered by....never mind. Logistical planning, you know....

@lycan - you and tiny Tim may want to keep a few chairs handy, or at least broken chair legs....no invite is necessary, remember?

    'night all!

  • Comment number 41.

@Sunny We carves our own specials for u m'dear> Nite nite mind nuthing do bite, especially when the moon is bright.

I'm aware that "I'm a very naughty Werewolf" (my Aunty Annie keeps tellin me)

  • Comment number 42.

    37. Wow a very doom and gloomy post STX, not like you ( ok who are you and what have you done with STX?:-))

These are questions that a lot of people have been asked recently. I hope LT has some answers cos we all love BH and we hope that the glaring plot holes are down to some grand master plan and not due to sloppy writing

  • Comment number 43.

Wyndam a 1000 year old vampire was actually protecting George and Nina,if in rather a perverse way.Quiet what possessed George to kill him is beyond reasoning at this time, especially given what he said before George staked Mitchell. He would at least wanted to know what the baby was before any actions were carried out against said werewolves.

I rest my case Your Honour.

  • Comment number 44.

I can't wait to see some more of Leo, Hal and the other ghost...my memory failed.

It's just so good to have some BH back again.

  • Comment number 45.

    OH and one more thing...

    We have Adam...a vampire...and Eve...daughter of werewolves...and Eve/Woman/Whatever!Future!Woman is a ghost...

    Just an observation.

  • Comment number 46.

Something tells me Tom might struggle with some of Annie`s "commandments"

  • Comment number 47.

Wow miss a couple of days and it takes a whole week to catch up, think I’ve read all the posts on all the blogs since Sunday, whew. Should have taken notes along the way.

Blog Mistress Rebecca thanks for all the wonderful treats you’ve brought us Being Human lovers all week.

Ewan and all the other wonderful people who have put up links so we outside the UK can enjoy all the goodies as well, thank you, thank you, thank you!

The 2 Weeks Earlier and the Dear Eve blogs just about broke my heart, so wished they had been filmed and in the episode :’(

Now all the talk about WW blood being toxic to Vampires has got me thinking. So in the BH universe dismemberment, by explosion or WW, probably burning, and broken necks kills a vampire and leaves a body so in theory could be resurrected? While staking and at least ingesting WW blood, maybe just physical contact with sufficient amounts of WW blood, dusts a Vampire, so no resurrection is possible? Does that sound right to anyone, just wondering?

  • Comment number 48.

Oh and for my two cents worth everyone has the right to their own feelings and opinions, and should feel at ease in expressing them here on the blog. People can change their minds and opinions several times in the course of this series, healthy and respectful discussions of different points of view should if anything be encouraged and not brow beaten into submission or chased off. *backing slowly away from the blog*

See you all when next I catch up after Sunday’s episode, have fun!

  • Comment number 49.

I can picture the set up of series 5 now (if we get one). Future Eve ghost, Tom & Hal living at HH.

  • Comment number 50.

Can't wait! love the house rules, clean the dishes, use a coaster, don't kill vampire. lol

  • Comment number 51.

why is Annie so anti vampire killing? Is it the dusting issue?

  • Comment number 52.

Judging by the clip it seems more of the lightness and humour are coming back this week to Honolulu Heights. I loved last week's first episode but I needed to watch it a few times to appreciate it as it covered so much ground and scene setting. Roll on tonight's second episode!

  • Comment number 53.

    Morning bloggers and Miss Rebecca!

Tnx Ewan for the links! x

The house rules. Love it. :-D

    Be seing you.

  • Comment number 54.

    Hi Ginger!

It was just amamzing how much was done in that hour - it was brilliant but so fast and non-stop I missed a lot of the humour first time round, it really need sa few watches.

Looking forward to being able to breath and laught during tonight's episiode! And finding out more about Pearl and Leo - and especially Hal

  • Comment number 55.

Annie`s "commandments" list is bound to grow.

No killing house guests is such a bourgeois concept

  • Comment number 56.

You're right - such a bourgeoise concept, although outside the house in certain footnoted cirumstances it'll be Tom Fun.

More rules are clearly needed - how will Tom know when to make his bed, change his socks or have a shower otherwise?

Not to mention Commandment number 17(b)(iii) Do. Not. Touch. The. Urn.

  • Comment number 57.

    @mistress denton

    @mods

    @bloggers

    @drunkkath

STX is alive and well thank you. Lil'MissPanda is having bamboo brunch at the moment. 37 post was not gloomy, it was the conclusion of a discussion regarding arcs. The black eye thing on the trailer is a well-known fact for every X-Files fan; it is a 'been there, done that'. But I remind you it was about the colonization of Earth by Aliens. Personally, I loved and still loved that show. Just like I love BH.

And TW concept is different; the American program was going in too many directions, and the change of cast happened much later... Besides you had I quote Tooms, vampires, aliens, and Nessie! all in one. TW is about the equation of people with different backgrounds and conditions can be friends despite the odds. G/N arc was complete, Eve was born and loads of bloggers were complaining about a show showing nappies, right? Mitchell was going to redeem himself for good in the afterlife realizing his dream of a glorious death: and it was. He went willingly to meet his victims and pay the blood price.

We also had an orphaned werewolf in need of a home, a ghost who has not finished her life. Where does Hal stand? We are going to discover: accept that ambition as in top dog leader is not worth it, why not.

Chris Carter never, IMHO, was nice to his fans; never paying attention. Driven yes, but to stitch such a large tapestry, he failed. TW is a good, very good, brilliant, did I say brilliant storyteller; if and he will, if he stays focused on his main arc, he is delivering so far a perfect show.

Bernie has been let loose, it seems ghosts together can have a sex life; it is not the first time some threads seem to hang loose; then we get the answer. Adam is an older Bernie and Fleur will keep her son in the straight and narrow... I bet Leo and Pearl are going to cross a double door tonight

We shall get our answers regarding toxic WW blood and Wyndham's death and it will be a OMG moment.

It was not doom and gloom, it was a quiet envisionment of how these plot lines might be construed. I, STX, am a true-blue-nerver-stain believer in LT! And it includes Panda!

  • Comment number 58.

    @sorry, I meant

are we, regarding Hal and not we are

  • Comment number 59.

One puzzlement though: 0800 numbers are free numbers so would be okay for Tom to dial from the house.

  • Comment number 60.

    BH Betting book open

    One cupcake: Leo dies

Three cupcakes : Pearl crosses to AL with him - could see a ghost Grandfather figure; but Pearl and Annie ongoing : no.

As for the arc: a saviour, and three supernaturals in need of a miracle with a child who has a foster father and a mother figure who never gave birth. Three old supernaturals, three wise supernaturals... let me see, it rings a bell

So five cupcakes on shepherds and a star in the night

  • Comment number 61.

Any news on "Becoming Human" having another series?

  • Comment number 62.

Morning Bloggers! Morning Mods! Morning Rebecca!

59 - LOL wondered that myself Gingernut! Maybe he is using a mobile?

  • Comment number 63.

Ah, but then he'd be paying for the calls himself, Sasha. 0870 are premium numbers - but all of that might not be relevant for those watching outside the UK.

    (I plead guilty for over-analysing!)

  • Comment number 64.

    Over analysing is good!

I thought Annie meant 'naughty' chat lines but didn't register the actual number she said...

Just the way my mind works obviously!

  • Comment number 65.

I was almost about to google 'naughty chat lines' to see what numbers there were but thought better of it - I hate to think of the spam emails I'd then get!

  • Comment number 66.

64 - ROFL - I read Gingernut's reply and immediately though' ah but over analysing is good' and then I read further and what do I see? My thoughts exactly, aqua!

  • Comment number 67.

61 - Not any good news there.

  • Comment number 68.

Found the BBC America trailers for being human and there are some bits that show tonights episode that look to be fun.

  • Comment number 69.

Love this clip!...it's an extended one of the clip shown on T4 yesterday morning. Like everyone else I adore Tom's ( and Michael's) humour. Toby has said in all interviews that this series Annie will come into her own and that Lenora turns in a fantastic comedy performance so all to look forward to!

I hate to be a merchant of doom but I think tonight we'll be saying goodbye to Leo and Pearl.....the former because he dies and Pearl i'm thinking will 'take him through the door'...maybe that was always her destiny.

I'll be doing a rewatch of episode 1 at some point before 9pm this eve.....looking forward to episode 2 and more of the very interesting and gorgeous Hal....

  • Comment number 70.

Now thinking about Pearl I can't stop going back to a simple comparison with Annie.

Pearl is from the 50's possibly a real house wife of the time. Annie's charater is someone trying to be an idolised 50's housewife. Reality is going to have some more fun with Annie me thinks.

  • Comment number 71.

68...ewan...yep...I put it up on twitter a little while ago....there aren't any spoilers in it just a few bits of scenes we haven't see before so would be okay to put up here I think

  • Comment number 72.

Yeah, agree with Saint, Dorina and Ewan on this one. Think tonight will be the last we see of Pearl and Leo. I am looking forward too to Annie's character this year. Last week, I thought her *twattage* line was superb! Nearly fell off my chair.

Wonder if I'll get modded for that. We shall see.

  • Comment number 73.

52/4. You need to do a few re watches cos that's how long it took for it to make any sense?

57.I used the words doom ang gloomy cos that's what you called me when I asked many of the same questions that you did yesterday. Ironic, isn't it?

  • Comment number 74.

It made perfect sense to me, there's nothing unduly complex in it.

I rewatched several times because I write about each epsiode and also because there is so much multilayered detail in any episiode of BH that there is no way you can pick up every single part of that in one watch.

  • Comment number 75.

74 - I like to watch every episode more than once too. I find that I either miss things because I'm hiding behind the couch or coz I'm laughing and then miss the next couple of lines. And from past experience, important things can happen in the couple of lines that I've missed! :-)

  • Comment number 76.

Good morning..away for a day and 2 new blogs....BBC America has started to show previous episodes, all out of order..and edited to death...I can't stand it. I have never written a letter about a TV show before, but am seriously thinking about it now.

Those of you in the UK are lucky. BBC there knows you have a brain and can decide what you want to watch.or not watch. If you find something offensive, you can change the channel. Here in the US, the decision is made for us...and I wouldn''t mind, but we have to pay to get BBC America. I can even understand editing for language, even though we know what they are saying, but they have literally butchered scenes by cutting a few seconds here and there.

If I were Lord Toby I would be seriously pissed off!

Sorry for the rant, but I just watched S3E1 and had to stop throwing things at the TV. And they wonder why we find "other ways" to watch!

  • Comment number 77.

I also think you can really only appreciate the skills in areas such as set dressing when you rewatch, the detail that goes into dressing even the sets used for a very short time is amazing.

I liked to watch how the pink house developed, how it filled up and then started to empty when George and Mitchell were ready to leave Annie.

Seeing how the attic changed throughout series three was also intriguing

  • Comment number 78.

swrnma - it's not always so good here.... The BBC, despite its critics is pretty amazing but BH was shown on Really TV and hacked about for adverts. And not just hacked about but done so badly it was unwatchable. For the first time I could really see what you have to suffer with the editing!

  • Comment number 79.

Thanks Aqua..and my name is Susan...I didn't put much thought into the user name for the blog..lol.

    Unwatchable is the perfect description!

  • Comment number 80.

    @73

Did I? Did you? oh well, sometimes our posts do not read the way we read them in our heads. As long as we both love the show, it is all that matters, right?

Going back to the betting book, now it is a 1/1 regarding Leo and Pearl yet we need more bets, more suggestions...

We have a dying 'wealthy' werewolf. Suggesting firstly that Hal has no money and that he did not tap in the wise investments mentionned by Mitchell in season 2.

Make sense, Hal not asking his share to the OOs. He is no more on the radar; either they think he is properly dead or that he is having a 'quiet' period.

Which in case they know he is not dead, they must have a six sense or a bat-cave radar!

Going back the financial segment of our BHBBC as in Being Human Bloody Broadcasting Channel, Leo has money, he is dying. If all his family is unseen as Pearl or un-dead but dead as in having seen the MwSaR Hal, he needs a visible heir... thus my fourth bet is that our Tom , the poor Tom who spent his chilhood in a dingy van is coming to find himself rather plump in the pocket to the point, he will buy the Cafe -hence under new management and possibly HH! and I bet not one, not three not five but ten cupcakes!

    @ewan

Pearl has lived with Leo and Hal; she has had 55years to master housewifery skills and 55years of that include parenting skills, husbandry, dealing with teenagers tantrum and being a grandmother. Pearl is a 'pearl'. I expect wise counsels of this youthful 'nan' in the line of Sasha parting...

We are going to need tissues tonight: Leo and Pearl the supernatural grandparents are going to leave the stage , leaving us with the feeling we wish we had known them longer...

And Annie is going to have to deal with her broody eldest Hal, her very youngest Eve -advantage Eve she stays put in her cot and she is not playing all day video games - sorry dominoes; all while 'Daddy' Tom earns the daily bread. Having Hal working with 'daddy' will cancel any need for an extra help at the cafe.

  • Comment number 81.

    Susan - hello!

I probably shoud have remembered that, sorry... my brain has a problem keeping all the user names straight!

  • Comment number 82.

    Afternoon All! Afternoon Mods!

Loved this vid - great chemistry between Michael Socha as Tom and Lenora Crichlow as Annie - really bounce off each other so well.

77 - I also really appreciate the set-dressers - it truly is an art-form and the detail in the sets fascinates me - the nursery was amazing.

Can't wait for Ep 2 tonight. Have a lovely afternoon everyone.

  • Comment number 83.

81- That's okay Aqua, I'm not on all that much for anyone to remember me..lol...

Just found this on youtube...apologies if someone else has posted..I am usually late finding these things..

    It's SFX weekender

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdeatNAr8sE

  • Comment number 84.

    80. It's not quite all that matters, for as has been demonstrated this week, not everyone has been able to accept that people have had contradictory responses to the first episode without resorting to comments and implications such as:

'Calm down'; 'You're an impostor! Prove to me your identity!'; 'screaming blue murder'; 'getting your knickers in a twist'; 'rewatch with a more open mind'; 'people should be grateful there were only a few new characters'; 'maybe it was too intellectually challenging for you'; quote: "Chill the **** out...!!!"

Certainly I haven't felt able to fully articulate my responses to episode 1 (and George's letter, the scrolls, the previews) knowing that I would face comments like that. If I have come across as 'negative' to some readers, that is because my passion for episode 1 was expressed not through love ('wasn't that AMAZING'; 'LOVED IT' etc) but through questions and criticism. Passion comes in different forms and with plenty more episodes to come, it's worth making the point about us all respecting each other's opinions once again.

83- I think you can change your username at any time, Susan, if you wanted to do - but not sure how.

84 Hello Edward George - lovely to see you on the Blog *waving* You just let rip... hon - you'll feel better for it, I'm sure. :D What about a {group hug}?

84- I don't think you came across as negative at all...I agreed with you. And can understand your passion for the show.

I have noticed that the blogs can become a little "confrontational"..but like you, I respect others opinions even if I don't agree.

86 - Hear! Hear! I know Edward George loves Being Human and I always enjoy reading his comments on this Blog.

85- Thanks Manc..I'll have to try it...but then everyone will think I'm new to the blogs..lol...and I am all over that group hug.

? for everyone..as I am watching the SFX weekender...TW says that some of the guest stars they have had, ie..Robson Green, Lacy Turner, and Mark Gatis are not necessarily BBC3 actors...is that like here in the US...some movie actors would never do TV..or if they did it would be cable TV like HBO, Showtime or Starz????

88 - probably a bit similar Susan. BBC3 is a much smaller channel here and doesn't get anywhere near the audience numbers that the folks you mentioned would usually get - either on the likes of BBC1 (BBC main channel) or ITV1 (main channel which is funded by advertising).

84 - Hi EG. I wish you would give us your views - they can't be half as barmy as most of mine are - whether negative or positive. I freely admit that my coin usually falls with the positive side face up and I hope that my *blind faith* mentality doesn't irritate people. I guess I'm just a 'glass half full' kinda gal.

Just listening to Toby at the SFX Weekender - did you hear him say that Peter Jackson offered Aidan a THREE picture deal? I've watched it a couple of times and he definitely says three, so not just the two Hobbits then. *star jumps*

88- no, Susan, I'm sure they won't. Lenora's Boy changed his username recently - perhaps you could ask him.

mmmm - not really sure about that one, Susan, I don't think that the actors mentioned would 'only do' a certain type of acting job - it is just that these actors are so thrilled with the parts that they are offered to play that they can't turn them down - it has often been said that actors agree to be in Being Human because of love - not money (not got a lot of money over here) and Craig Roberts is a good example of someone who is a rising star now - but said to Lord Toby at a party that he would be happy to be in Being Human Series 4.

But casting Robson Green as McNair was pure genius.

68 - Cooeee! You still about Ewan? Do you have the clips link thingy (please excuse my vast knowledge of web technical terms) please?

  • Comment number 94.

90 - Oooerr. Wonder what the third movie will be then - did it give a clue? I raise your star jump by a cartwheel and twirl of my moustache :-)

Oh is that the link at 92 - off for a listen, thanks!

  • Comment number 95.

93 - Huh? Do you want a link to something specific?

Quick pause of the video - sounds like we are in for a real humdinger of a performance from Annie tonight! Have I said, I think she's great?

  • Comment number 97.

92- Oh WOW! Thanks Gingernut - hmmm *twirls Sasha's moustache* ?:^{ 3-deal movies with PJ.... That Mrs PJ... she did a good job there over that midnight cocoa..

  • Comment number 98.

95 - Sorry Ewan - I meant a link to the *extra* non-spoilery clips for ep. 2 that you mentioned earlier. What do you mean you can't read my mind? Thought that was just my OH :-)

Thanks to all for explaining the channels...same here..we have what I would call "free channels" ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS were the first..there are probably 20 more...then you can buy cable packages that include up to 200 more, including BBCA...then we have "premium channels" , HBO, Showtime, Starz, Cinemax that we pay more for. The premium channels are unedited, thank God. They show movies and original series. Torchwood, Miracle Day was shown on Starz. It never would have passed the censors on BBCA.

91 - Manc, if I can't think of anything approriate, I may just remain "swrnma, mystery woman"...lol

89- Sasha, sounds like BBC1 might be like out PBS "Public Broadcasting Station".it is funded with private donations...but has great shows like "Downton Abbey and Sherlock and is mostly unedited.

Afternoon all! Good to see some healthy discussion already happening, folks. Kath and Ed- of course you are right to express yourselves and (hopefully) not be misunderstood. I'm really pleased to see a much more open and positive blog for what I hope will be an interesting and fresh 'take' on life in HH.

I was also a blogger who did not exuberate about Ep1, but hey ho, thats my opinion. Hopefully this episode will begin to consolidate some of those glaring plot holes mentioned by Ed amongst others. Bring it on. PS "No killin' vampires"
