Hi. The guys at Being Human Facebook gave me your site and said you may know the answer to this question..Is there any way to find out what Annie is wearing? I would love to buy the grey shirt she wears under the Pirate Cardi.. it looks like it might have a little lace on it.. and also the grey shirt with the shoulders missing and the white shirt and her leggings?? I want the whole outfit.. it is adorable.,. also I did a online search and a lot of people asked what she was wearing so it would be great to know

Hi Hally, you need to look at All Saints for Annie's clothes but you missed the actual outfit that you described it was sold on EBay before Christmas for charity happy shopping.

Loved it! Tom is quickly rising up to my be my favourite character this season. Loved it very much last year too. And no, it's not just the eyebrows!



I really like his unaware use of irony or comic lines, and how much he values what he considers his "pack". But also his straightforwardness in addressing all kinds of situations: he doesn't dwell much and that's a refreshing trait for a BH character - of course this is my and my point of view only...



My granpa used to tell me and my cousins an alternative Red riding hood story, where him and my grandma where main characters...unfortunately the big bad wolf didn't meet an happy ending...so I won't tell ho ho it went!



Also, thanks for your post at 24 Saint (previous blog). Re-posting the link I put in my post in the previous blog just shows what I meant: anyone can express their opinion, whatever that might be, as long as it's done politely and without making it into a personal attack.

Ok ok... rewatched the first ep.



1: Future girl at the very start says "This isn't supposed to happen". Series 4, like the last one might be based on a false prophesy. I'm even more convinced it's Eve on second veiwing.



2: The vampire on the radio sounds like Edgar to me, it really does. It's not Hal.



3: If Tom hadn't fallen for the trap George would still be alive. Still think Tom's so lovely now?! :-P



4: "She's the war child, she has to stay alive" said the vampire recorder. i.e we go back to "this wasn't supposed to happen". Eve doesn't save the world like the scrolls say. Oh, The vampire recorder definately has an agenda separate from the vampires.

Lord Wolfie, a question, and if it's been discussed on any of the other blogs, sorry, but, those bones in the vamp lair? Are they just a vampire's idea of a cool coffee table, or something else? Are they human bones or werewolf bones? Had He and Tom not been lured by trap then G would have been home when Fergus arrived with social worker and some kind of confrontation would have happened there? Outcome - who knows?

Afternoon Sasha, yekin_mikey, Saraneth! And Saraneth, I'm with you, everyone has the right to their opinion, there are bits of the first epsisode I love and other bits I went, "Since when?" and "That doesn't make sense." It wouldn't be Being Human or the blog if we didn't occasionally disagree with each other, the questioning of plotlines and "Why the hell did he do that?" are all part of the fun.

19 - Hiya Misty! One of the 'since when' things in episode 1 was the ww blood being toxic. That has been niggling at me - thought we must've seen it before at some point. Well imagine my joy when I though I'd traced it back and it had happened before. Remember at the end of S1 just before George rips Herrick's head off (lovely) we see Herrick getting dressed. You know, the whole crowd is there in the funeral parlour cheering him on - he's got the big black coat on and then he's handed a pair of black leather gloves and stomps off to sort George out. I'm thinking yes - they've done it before. Wrong - he wasn't going to meet George, was he? He though he was going to meet Mitchell. So - back to the drawing board on that one! Oh well - no gold star for me.



I do hope we get an explanation on it though because we can't have got 2,000 years down the line without ww finding out that their blood is toxic to vampires, can we?

19: Yep! On second watching a took in a couple of things I didn't see first time. The Werewolf blood was explained early on by George though it did feel a bit crowbared in.

When did George find that out, when he killed Wyndam, who should have known about it, the vamps left them to it, did nothing, the script on Two Weeks Earlier blog doesn't sound like "Oh we're really scared, we killed an Old One, they've done nothing" Did Griffin put a wee card in with the flowers "By the way, I had my guys tog up because your blood is toxic..." That makes no sense to me at all. And he really seemed surprised at George's actions, when he bit his own wrist, that didn't look like "Oh I really shouldn't have told you that." So who did tell George about the ww blood? I think too hard Sasha...

The vampire one of the beginning of the season: Obey with the vampire eye/symbol inside, now this one : Fight or die. Fight ... what the vampires? Probably as the 'or die' is the fate of any human facing a vampire. Then the interesting caption: 'we are human'. Well, naturally We are human , as we human or as we plural? As yes, we the children of Darwin and the Werewolves , we are human together because as per George's words s1 e6, 'it proves my humanity'

I have been going round in circles with toxic blood ideas as well as everything else! The one thing I can't explain is how Herrick stabbed McNair in the attic without getting a drop of blood on him.



This whole theory HAS to come back in the story arc for S4! Please or we'll all have gone mad...

yes the bones on the table; the very old bones, the bones which are later on the death bed for the catch of the day

is it the vampire version of Hyacinth Bouquet Derby china with the blue periwinkles: one very large plate ? after all, it was on a billard table that Richard's g=== died! But later, Richard buried the remains of his pets. Which was pretty decent of him all considered. Vamps drink blood, they feed on the blood, not on the flesh. Why would they keep human scattered remains? Not to mention the smell of rotting corpses and Mitchell could smell Sasha's decaying body... and Stoker's is by the sea; hence they can feed Trevors, plenty of Trevors with the bodies.

Sequence: catch of the day on the table, lunch hour for vampires, body sent to the great Oceanic recycler. Bones kept there as a decoration? Vampire version of a table centre? or significant bones.

Blood of the catch of the day willingly poured over the bones. Vampires seem to drink:feed one at a time; see Mitchell's first death. Seth was drinking, the two others were standing. The catch of the day blood is marked for the bones on the table: taking loads of human to ressurect whoever was the bones's owner. No, not Wyndham; see the cobwebs. Avery, very OO. One of the twin brothers?

I think the vampire recorder is a (shambolic) vampire - doesn't he say "we're all going to die!" (we being vampires). I think most likely he just believes that what is written in the scrolls is going to happen no matter what you do so don't bother trying to fight it. He's excited to be seeing one of the prophesies come true.

That's spot on Sage - he is excited isn't he? Even though he knows it means he dies too...

Perhaps that's what he's been working towards all his life (which could be a very long time) - seeing one of the prophecies fulfilled

Werewolves as in human guise: blood not deadly. Seth, the village idiot was ready to bite into human George,; unafraid of Death but expecting to drink something not Tasty.

Werewolves with vizors regarding Nina? but not wearing vizors when McNair actually killed the WW in the cage; No. Vamps are not suicidal.

Griffin was ready to defend himself, to bite into half human-half WW George. He was not afraid of the contact with the blood at all. But he was surprised of the effect on ingesting the blood!

Nina was fully human when the policemen killed her, her blood was not dangerous. The helmets and vizors were there to protect the murderers identity.

So George lied. OK WW blood is dangerous when ingested and if something was going to happen to George; George shared with Tom a secret 'in case something befalls me'. No way George would have known when Nina died... any human would have been terrified if blood splatter caused the sudden combustion of people. George was told the secret, a secret not shared among vampires; an OO secret by somebody else... well Wyndham comes to mind.

An OO woukld know a few tricks...

26 - Oh never thought about Fergus being like Seth. He seemed to have, how can I put it, a bit more intelligence about him. I think Fergus is a very nasty man - vampire - whatever! Even the way he pushes the young female vampire (the one wearing the red scarf) I thought she looked like the girl that played Hatty - by that I don't mean I think it was Hatty just thought she looked like the girl that played Hatty would look now? Lordy, I do tie myself in knots at times :-)

Fergus is the vicious version of Seth - the anti-Seth! - the way Seth might have been if he hadn't been kept on a short leash as Herrick's pet

35 - Yeah - I was a bit disappointed when babawolf wasn't a mass murderer at full moon. Then again, that might yet happen :-)

I agree with Sage. I think Regus is a vampire. When he was reading the scrolls he said, "We're all going to die because of this baby!" Would he include himself in that if he wasn't one of them? And to George, "She's going to wipe us out. She's going to save the world."



I think he's just a pure academic, gets excited and protective about his work and everything else is just secondary. And he was so interested in what George had done when he forced his transformation because it was something new.



A thought though: Just before he left he also said, "Alright, baby. I'll see you soon." Why? To give them more help? Because he knows something else must happen soon and it'll involve him? Perhaps he knows they'll return to him later to ask about the scrolls, after all now was not the best time to go through them as George was dying! I think I just managed to talk myself into a reasonable reason! Haha.

Oh I forgot to mention the posters. The poster at the very opening of the episode. Did anyone else think that the man in the eye (Obey poster) looked like Mitchell? That was my immediate response when I saw it!

Perhaps the recorder can see Annie because he is the new kind of supernatural we were promised?



I'm reasonably sure the toxic werewolf blood will return more importantly later, otherwise why shoe-horn it into this episode? Why couldn't George simply rip Griffin's head off?

Saint, what do you mean, the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist? That's who the Old Ones get their replacement fangs from, isn't it? ;)

40 - Think by the aiding in conversion he may have meant sit at their sides and wait for them to *wake up* as vampires. They need someone to hold their hand and tell them it'll be ok.

season one Mitchell is a human WW1 soldier, later on Herrick still calls him soldier

season 2 : Cessna wages war on the WW and vampires



season 3 : McNair and son: soldiers; Cryptic Mitchell comments about a secret war ongoing to Herrick



season 4 : FOOT SOLDIERS; any society has some form of hierarchy. Top dog, alpha and beta males, leader of the pack etc. Wolves may have some form of lead ; as for vampires: you have the OOs and ther fresh recruits as Dewi. Dewi who is Tom's versionin the vampire world.



There is a war; but why if this is all in all just vampires or rather humans selling their souls to the Devil. Rather cliche me thinks. Then a war between WW and vamps again a cliche: been there , done that Underworld. As for the war child it is Sara Conner and war of the terminator machines. We all have seen it befoe so... so... there is something else missing. OK, the three storylines are united; but how and what is the missing bit thazt gives a meaning to the rest. The unique TW storyline never seen before...

in fact the thing that is under our nose. Why is there a curse about WW? They have not sold their souls, they are scratched and where Mitchell accepted to become a vamp: ok; a bit far fetched but can see the soul being sold... Lauren did not where Daisy and Dewi did. Becca could have been and was rejected by Mitchell;;; anyhow WW do not sell their souls and certainly Annie did not.

Exactly, how did the ww curse come about? As a way to fight vamps, or what humanity will have to change into, to even stand a chance of surviving? Not every vamp agrees to become one, like Mitchell did, how do the ones who had it forced on them stand with the Devil story? Is he doing Ultraviolet, the British series, after all? The Old Ones come back in that ship, not just to avoid pesky customs, passport problems, lack of photo id etc, but to avoid being spotted by Cessna's better funded replacement?

Also, Cutler did say that they would show the world something worse than the vampires taking over the world. Mmmmm - twirls my moustache and ponders that one.

90 - I'm still not convinced that because Eve can see Annie that automatically means she is a supernatural. They say (not sure who they are mind you) that young children are more open/sensitive to the supernatural and the fact that George says Eve can see Annie and therefore is supernatural could be a red herring. That being said, I'm being devil's advocate here because I do think the ww gene will have survived in Eve - just not sure when it will present itself.
