Loved it! Tom is quickly rising up to my be my favourite character this season. Loved it very much last year too. And no, it's not just the eyebrows!
I really like his unaware use of irony or comic lines, and how much he values what he considers his "pack". But also his straightforwardness in addressing all kinds of situations: he doesn't dwell much and that's a refreshing trait for a BH character - of course this is my and my point of view only...
My granpa used to tell me and my cousins an alternative Red riding hood story, where him and my grandma where main characters...unfortunately the big bad wolf didn't meet an happy ending...so I won't tell ho ho it went!
Also, thanks for your post at 24 Saint (previous blog). Re-posting the link I put in my post in the previous blog just shows what I meant: anyone can express their opinion, whatever that might be, as long as it's done politely and without making it into a personal attack.
Love the poster, might print it out and put it in my living room :0)

2: The vampire on the radio sounds like Edgar to me, it really does. It's not Hal.
3: If Tom hadn't fallen for the trap George would still be alive. Still think Tom's so lovely now?! :-P
4: "She's the war child, she has to stay alive" said the vampire recorder. i.e we go back to "this wasn't supposed to happen". Eve doesn't save the world like the scrolls say. Oh, The vampire recorder definately has an agenda separate from the vampires.

That has been niggling at me - thought we must've seen it before at some point. Well imagine my joy when I though I'd traced it back and it had happened before. Remember at the end of S1 just before George rips Herrick's head off (lovely) we see Herrick getting dressed. You know, the whole crowd is there in the funeral parlour cheering him on - he's got the big black coat on and then he's handed a pair of black leather gloves and stomps off to sort George out. I'm thinking yes - they've done it before. Wrong - he wasn't going to meet George, was he? He though he was going to meet Mitchell. So - back to the drawing board on that one! Oh well - no gold star for me.
I do hope we get an explanation on it though because we can't have got 2,000 years down the line without ww finding out that their blood is toxic to vampires, can we?

I wrote a post about werewolf blood on my own blog and linked it to the way vamps think WW smell vile - one of nature’s warning signs? Don’t eat this, it's bad for you?

Agree with the 'don't eat this it's bad for you' smell that must be coming from wws. Maybe it's just existing knowledge, but at a sub-conscious level, that the blood would kill a vamp if he drinks it?
Even although he thought that Eve would be the death of all vampires, he didn't want to kill her or to let anyone else kill her. Why was that?

good afternoon, Panda and I had a rough night at the hospital, so woke up late or early, is it? Anyhow, interesting poster. The vampire one of the beginning of the season: Obey with the vampire eye/symbol inside, now this one : Fight or die. Fight ... what the vampires? Probably as the 'or die' is the fate of any human facing a vampire. Then the interesting caption: 'we are human'. Well, naturally We are human , as we human or as we plural? As yes, we the children of Darwin and the Werewolves , we are human together because as per George's words s1 e6, 'it proves my humanity'

yes the bones on the table; the very old bones, the bones which are later on the death bed for the catch of the day
is it the vampire version of Hyacinth Bouquet Derby china with the blue periwinkles: one very large plate ? after all, it was on a billard table that Richard's g=== died! But later, Richard buried the remains of his pets. Which was pretty decent of him all considered. Vamps drink blood, they feed on the blood, not on the flesh. Why would they keep human scattered remains? Not to mention the smell of rotting corpses and Mitchell could smell Sasha's decaying body... and Stoker's is by the sea; hence they can feed Trevors, plenty of Trevors with the bodies.
Sequence: catch of the day on the table, lunch hour for vampires, body sent to the great Oceanic recycler. Bones kept there as a decoration? Vampire version of a table centre? or significant bones.
Blood of the catch of the day willingly poured over the bones. Vampires seem to drink:feed one at a time; see Mitchell's first death. Seth was drinking, the two others were standing. The catch of the day blood is marked for the bones on the table: taking loads of human to ressurect whoever was the bones's owner. No, not Wyndham; see the cobwebs. Avery, very OO. One of the twin brothers?

exactly
the sequence is
Werewolves as in human guise: blood not deadly. Seth, the village idiot was ready to bite into human George,; unafraid of Death but expecting to drink something not Tasty.
Werewolves with vizors regarding Nina? but not wearing vizors when McNair actually killed the WW in the cage; No. Vamps are not suicidal.
Griffin was ready to defend himself, to bite into half human-half WW George. He was not afraid of the contact with the blood at all. But he was surprised of the effect on ingesting the blood!
Nina was fully human when the policemen killed her, her blood was not dangerous. The helmets and vizors were there to protect the murderers identity.
So George lied. OK WW blood is dangerous when ingested and if something was going to happen to George; George shared with Tom a secret 'in case something befalls me'. No way George would have known when Nina died... any human would have been terrified if blood splatter caused the sudden combustion of people. George was told the secret, a secret not shared among vampires; an OO secret by somebody else... well Wyndham comes to mind.
An OO woukld know a few tricks...
More questions
Why Wyndham? what is Wyndham's agenda? and how was Wyndham killed?
by the way, you remember naturally Herrick was resurrected by having Cara and Daisy's blood poured over his remains, don't you!

I think he's just a pure academic, gets excited and protective about his work and everything else is just secondary. And he was so interested in what George had done when he forced his transformation because it was something new.
A thought though: Just before he left he also said, "Alright, baby. I'll see you soon." Why? To give them more help? Because he knows something else must happen soon and it'll involve him? Perhaps he knows they'll return to him later to ask about the scrolls, after all now was not the best time to go through them as George was dying! foot soldiers?
season one Mitchell is a human WW1 soldier, later on Herrick still calls him soldier
season 2 : Cessna wages war on the WW and vampires
season 3 : McNair and son: soldiers; Cryptic Mitchell comments about a secret war ongoing to Herrick
season 4 : FOOT SOLDIERS; any society has some form of hierarchy. Top dog, alpha and beta males, leader of the pack etc. Wolves may have some form of lead ; as for vampires: you have the OOs and ther fresh recruits as Dewi. Dewi who is Tom's versionin the vampire world.
There is a war; but why if this is all in all just vampires or rather humans selling their souls to the Devil. Rather cliche me thinks. Then a war between WW and vamps again a cliche: been there , done that Underworld. As for the war child it is Sara Conner and war of the terminator machines. We all have seen it befoe so... so... there is something else missing. OK, the three storylines are united; but how and what is the missing bit thazt gives a meaning to the rest. The unique TW storyline never seen before...
in fact the thing that is under our nose. Why is there a curse about WW? They have not sold their souls, they are scratched and where Mitchell accepted to become a vamp: ok; a bit far fetched but can see the soul being sold... Lauren did not where Daisy and Dewi did. Becca could have been and was rejected by Mitchell;;; anyhow WW do not sell their souls and certainly Annie did not.
the Devil story is a cover up from my POV; WHAT is behind is the interesting thing

So there is neither inconsistency nor churlishness, nor the need to pose such questions, really.

Is it possible Regis means humanity when he says 'we're all going to die?'
Somehow (baby) Eve staying alive will ensure the vampires success ( as seen in 2037)?
Maybe that is what is written on the 3rd scroll and that is why (Future) Eve ( if that's who she is) says she has to kill the baby after seeing that missing piece?
Just a theory...

yes, the 'we' IN THE WE ARE HUMAN, sounded a bit excessive; do we proclaim our humanity? no, we know it a fact; obvious facts do not need to be stated
but werewolves would be keen to underline their 'humanity' as it would be denied by vampires
in the 'we' as in we together , you the human human and the human werewolf, 'we together' are human and we fight together and we die together

Take over, put humanity in its rightful place, under the vampires' 'caring, sharing' rule, right...
Does this mean the usual we will pick who we like, keep a portion to feed from, and everyone else goes the way of the dinosaur? Or something worse? Unless the vamps have some way of not having to rely on humans for their food or their breeding to provide that food, horrible way of putting it, I know, but, recruiting too many, not enough humans to feed the new regime, the vamps would be killing themselves, if they crush humanity...
and vamps are hunters, predators, something more insidious is up their sleeves surely?

exactly
to put it simply: when Spain invaded the Americas, the Natives were used as slaves and the plunders ended up in Castillian pockets
it took the Valladovid controversy to show Natives had a soul. Then Africa was raided for slavery because the controversy denied Africans to have a soul. Have a look, all above is sadly true.
Invade, conquer, get rid of the previous owners-dinosaurs and change the scenery.
Here vampires relying on humans to survive; remove humans by overkilling like Buffalo Bill killing buffaloes: what happens to vampires: death by hunger.
Problem with species is reproduction: without humans not only vampires cannot feed, but their specie cannot expend!
the third scroll shows a double pregnancy, twins? with a dark circle, a dark heart, vampires?
think: if we have an organic werebaby, what about a specie notorious for its very poor 'normal' reproductive rate. In short: vampire reproduce like cells scissiparity, one to one, where humans do by sexuality two make one,and allow a better play of genetics , than a poor one on one, more variety

Seth was ready to bite George when he and Annie raided the funeral Parlour then got weakened by his star of David. (Seth not too Bright, may have forgotten the "dont bite the Wolf" rule)
Also, G bit/ripped Hs head off, Mcnair bit/ripped Richard head off, why couldn't G do the same to Griffin?
Final point; did anyone else think the Vamps were a bit soft, when Annie and Tom stormed in? (loadsa vamps only one Tom) and All griffin did was gaup while G rampaged breaking little vamps necks.
Q. isn't Griffin Wyndham predecessor (sure he said that), does that mean Griffin was a junior OO?

this WW toxicity is only in WW beast shape.
OOs , who are all survivors by the fact they lived all theses years are given enough time to see 'things happening', a vampire struggling against a WW, biting and wuffff... no more vamp. Hence the foot soldiers ready to be killed by WWs , which seem to be less frequent than vamps statistically
season one G, Tully
season twp G, N, Tully and the other three
season three G, N, two McNairs and the WW killed by McNair
three seasons none WW
now how many vampires and season four is now down to dying Leo and Tom and lil'MissEve if she is a WW which so far has not been demonstrated ut for the fact she sees Annie hence she is a supernatural
none the less, the last vamp:WW meeting this time no cage since we have in the cage, out of the cage and no cage, the vamps were indeed wimps
a few staking, a few neck breaking, a surprised Cutler, a very surprised Griffin, most left in a hurry but were expecting G to fully transform and they knew Tom was a WW, ?.???
