Right, I have calmed slightly...enough to realise that I still cannot watch these vids on my machine at home...I have tried everything but nothing is working....it is all the bbc progs that I cannot get, other stuff like You Tube etc. is fine. Has anyone got any ideas, please, getting desperate now...not funny anymore.

Are they keeping Aidan's hair the same as last season? Or roughly the same? I'm all disappointed now. :( It looks really really good more scruffy and ruffled up. Not that it doesn't look really really good anyway. Just that it was even better scruffy.

Mitchell is slightly better looking than Rossetti, I think possibly because Aidan has more stubble when he's being Mitchell. Though as Rossetti he's not exactly been hit with the ugly stick:)

Oh, damn you, Aidan!

I was at Bristol 2 days ago and wandered around Totterdown for a whole hour with the hope of finding some filming going on! I then wandered up and down Bath Road for a further two hours until I could find something, which I didn't! My feet are still aching!

(And yes, I was wearing some very Annie boots I got for £8 from Primark!)

Well, I don't have time to go back there for a long time, but if and when I do, Aidan, Russell and Lenora are getting big Valentino bags whacked in their faces for making me walk so much!

Still...have pity on me!

Super if you can get them to say the other half of the sentence you can have some party rings too :-)



Drivingsuzanne now you know I have a tiny little soft spot for Russell so that was fine by me and the fake little irish twang was very nice :-)

Season one spoiler warning!



So, Sinead's big hair, I'm assuming it's indicating a more sexual, more...animal Nina (although she was pretty sexual to start with *grin*). Guess this means that George definitely was the one to scratch her? (There has been speculation in some of the discussion groups I belong to that it may be a red herring and it was actually Mitchell scratched her. Or have I missed a blog and I should already know for definite?)



Bristol is only about an hour away from where I live, I'm sensing a road trip :)

This might sound a bit odd, but its been driving me mad, does anyone know what make and model Mitchell's car is? (Aiden and Russel are sitting on it in this clip).

i'm a heretic on this site as i've only watched one episode but found the acting absolutely stupendous. however.... unfortunately i've type cast aidan turner into the role of rossetti for the meantime i'm afraid! less bloody and more loveable rogue-ish - although now sadly that has ended. it would seem, however, that a a huge wave of the english female tv watching public have completely and utterly fallen for him and claiming rights to him!



i have a friend who lives in totterdown under orders to kidnap on sighting, but then again i've had a mob on command to lassoo johnny depp on sighting and drag him to my doorstep but unfortunately to no avail so far - so not holding my breath!! (thankfully i'm just joking here...)

well... yes... it's pretty obvious why everyone is fawning over him! after his performance in desperate romantics he's now up in my top 3 favourite actors -he's really talented. can't wait to see him casted in more dramas. nope, not american, i live in bristol, uk and my friend who lives in totterdown literally lives down the road from where they shoot. i haven't ventured down there i have to say. am watching my second episode as i type. i called myself a heretic cos i'm not worshiping the programme as much as u guys...(prob a rubbish choice of word) i don't have much time for tv unfortunately!

What I wan't to know is when is Mitchell going to get his kit off.

Ok, firstly, LOVING series one, Aiden is Dreamy as both Mitchell and Rosetti, Russell is fantastic, as is the whole cast really. Completely peeved however that I can't watch any of the vid clips as I don't live in the UK. Used to live in Totterdown though, and the house looks exactly like the one I used to have a flat in, What street is it on in Totterdown? Does anyone know?

As much as we all would love to see Mitchell get his kit off I can't see this happening...wouldn't really fit in with the feel and vibe of the show. That doesn't mean to say that te beautiful one won't reveal all again ( well, not all but you know what I mean) in some other British or Irish production as he's now viewed as HOT in the uk...mind you, I read somewhere recently that he's a little embarrassed now about his sex scenes in Desperate Romantics..I don't think he's a natural extrovert like Russell.

For all Americam cousins who haven't seen Desperate Romantics and therefore Rossetti in action...what a treat awaits if you get the DVD!

I'm an American fan who just started watching the show on BBC America and I am absolutely hooked. I can't wait for Season 2 to start but I have no idea when that will be. I'm not sure when the television seasons begin and end in the UK. Can someone enlighten me as to how long I must wait, please? I've been reading the blog comments and find that though I speak English like all of you, I don't understand a lot of the "lingo" that you use. I also never knew that we spelled so many words differently. I find it amazing. Anyway, what does "get his kit off" mean? Also, during the season finale, Nina pulled up her sleeve to reveal scratch marks. Did George scratch her? Will she now be a werewolf, too?

This is a terrible admission of guilt, I'm old enough to know better.. yes peoples senior vampire is dusky and beautiful but .. Mr Tovey is so very very dreamy, his kindly voice, his twinkly eyes and ears..before any 'change' takes place.. I have a most terrible and wonderful crush



I am so glad that the wee pilot that I saw on tv a few years ago (and entirely loved)was either popular enough, or was seen by Auntie to be worthy - was invested in. Damn it - I saw Firely and Farscape (both wonderful then, great characters, great scenarios, great effects..) dumped by the 'investors' - I felt as though my type of story and love of huaminty through 'unhuman' human tales would never be invested in again, especially given tightening of production purse strings. Pure joy! Thany you Aunty and thank you fine producers, script writers, and (dreamily) Senior Tovey.



Keep up the exceedingly fine work(and btw Sugar Rush was initially brilliant - no research on my behalf - but what are those writers up to now?)

Don't worry about other lingo...bloggers are not worried usually about spellings...there's litle difference between American/English spellings.Experienced bloggers ( not me...I was a blog virgin until earlier this year) have other language/symbols/shortcuts which I don't always get but just join in the fun and enjoy.



We're assuming that Nina as scratched by George and hence will have become a werewolf but...Toby is such a great writer that all I can think is 'expect the unexpected'

Hey every1. Am new to blogging but LOVE da show. 2010 seems like so far away. :P I am in love with Aidan's accent which is partly y he is sexier as Mitchel than Rosetti in desperate romantics.



To the american, hi! I just got bak from new york nd new england. Usualli it takes a lot longer for english dramas to air in the us but if u want to watch it wen it comes out in britain u shud just go on bbc iplayer or youtube or summit.Or just take a LONG vacation nd watch the whole series in england!!! lol.

I'm a fan in the U.S. also, and I'm very disappointed I can't see all of the vids. The BBC iplayer doesn't work for us (they are even blocking some of the recent ones at the BBC site on youtube.)



Why is that? I could see the episodes, as it takes awhile for them to get here and they don't want to undercut BBC America, but the making of vids and extras? Come on, give U.S. fans a break. (I also think it's unfair people outside the U.S. can't see vids on U.S. sites. Seriously, what harm could it do, and it excites the fans for more.)

Just got done watching the first disk of BH season one with my mate, howling good show. Nice to see us werefolk in positive rolls ;) Wish I could see the season 2 previews too, us "septics" will just have to hunt elsewere. I love the old school special effects, Russell's acting really brings them alive. Two questions, why does it say "spirits" on the glass of their front door? Why does the front door have no handle? Hope Tully returns, wolves need their pack.

Watched Being Human episodes 5 and 6 last night-rec dvd thru post-not disappointed=Mitchell has top off in hospital scene-phwoarrr!!! What an adonis of beauty Mr. Turner is!! Grrr!

Gotta agree with Superjules....Mr T is great with shirt on or off but he certainly made an old woman very happy when I saw him last week. Oooerrr. I'm really getting into BH this time round, couldn't the first time, don't know why. Now I'm rooted to the sofa on Thursday nights but only for tomorrow and next week and then we have to wait!! Unfair or what? Roll on 2010...:-D

.....and while I'm on the subject, I'd like to know about the "otters in Totterdown" stuff is too as I don't have a clue. The vid was funny. I live in Bristol and see films crews up on The Downs doin' their stuff, don't know if it's BH they're filming tho I'd love to see them at it, so to speak. Why are they all seeming to have such a good time?? Unfair or what. magicHazzza, Mitchell's car is a 1964 Volvo Amazon 122S. I have a slightly later car in the same colour and was baffled when people asked me whether I was a vampire or not............worked it out soon enough.
