Martin Kemp, Dannii Minogue and Amber Riley are to join Gary Barlow on BBC One’s Let It Shine. Meanwhile, Welsh Comedian Rhod Gilbert has been announced as the new host of BBC Two’s You’re Fired and You’re Hired- the companion shows to The Apprentice.

Factual

Nicholas Parsons, master of Just A Minute, will celebrate a great master of the timepiece, Abraham Louis Breguet, as he goes in search of the most expensive and exquisite watch ever made in The Incredible Story Of Marie Antoinette’s Watch on BBC Four.

Sport

The Champions League of Darts premieres on the BBC later this month.

Children's

CBeebies Playtime Island, a brand new free app for pre-schoolers and their parents to discover and play their favourite CBeebies game has been launched. Meanwhile it was announced that Roald Dahl is to be the first person in Blue Peter history to be posthumously honoured with a Gold Blue Peter badge.

Music

Over a thousand were confrimed to join the BBC’s Virtual Orchestra for the Last Night of the Proms. Elsewhere, BBC One and BBC Music announced Michael Bublé at the BBC, a world exclusive 60-minute entertainment spectacular, hosted by Claudia Winkleman.

Radio

BBC Radio Drama announced that the BBC Audio Drama Awards 2017 are open for entries.

BBC Radio 1Xtra - in partnership with LIMF Academy - announced a range of distinctive and bespoke outreach sessions ahead of 1Xtra Live - the stations annual flagship live music event. Meanwhile, BBC Radio 3 has been honoured for its ‘extraordinary work’ at the Gramophone Awards.

Radio 5 Live announced Colin Murray is back in the chair of Fighting Talk from Saturday 17 September. Elsewhere, BBC Radio 6 Music listeners have voted Gomez’s ‘Bring It On’ their favourite past Mercury Prize winner.

BBC Music Jazz digital pop-up is set to return in collaboration with Jazz FM for 96 solid hours of broadcasting.

Regional

In recognition of an unprecedented year for Welsh sport, it has been confirmed today that the 2016 Wales Sport Awards will take place on December 5 in Hoddinott Hall at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. BBC Wales also announced a major reorganisation that will bring together commissioning across television, radio and online for the very first time.

In Northern Ireland, viewers can enjoy a special TV highlights programme looking back on the recent BBC Proms in the Park from the Titanic Slipways in Belfast.

While in Scotland, broadcasting legend Robbie Shepherd MBE is saying farewell to Take the Floor, the BBC Radio Scotland Show he has presented for 35 years.

International

Iconic Russian voices from the last five decades are on air again in the BBC Russian Voices From The Archive video series. Elsewhere, the BBC Ukrainian Book Awards launched in Lviv.
