Answer

You, too, could ask these questions as you plan to write about a holiday or festival. You could also ask yourself:

Gweld beth?

Teithio sut?

Y tywydd?

Exercise

Now, try writing about a holiday in full sentences.

You can write or talk about a holiday you would like by using, Hoffwn i (I would like) and Dylwn i (I should). You could also use Baswn i’n (I would), eg

Hoffwn i fynd i Sir Benfro ar fy ngwyliau. Dylwn i fynd yno yn achos baswn i’n nofio yn y môr, torheulo yn yr haul a chwarae gemau ar y gyda’r teulu. Hefyd, baswn i’n a bwyta’r bwyd lleol. Baswn i’n cael amser bendigedig achos mae Sir Benfro yn hyfryd.

What kind of holiday would you like?

Think of the questions in the grid again and use these tenses to describe what you would like.

If you wanted to write about a holiday in the past, you would need to use past tense forms, such as:

  • Es i i… - I went to…
  • Gwelais i… - I saw…
  • Bwytais i… - I ate…
