The phrase man kann comes from the verb können and means 'you can'. You have to use a form of können with an The part of the verb found in the dictionary. It is the basic form of a verb without a subject, and the equivalent of English 'to...' verbs, and usually ends in -en, -n, -ern, -eln in German, eg spielen - to play. to say what you can do.

The highest mountain in Germany is called the Zugspitze.
It lies on the border between Austria and Germany, so depending on which country you are in when you start to ascend it, you will travel on the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn (Bavarian Zugspitze Railway) or the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn (Tirolean Zugspitze Railway).
It is 2,962 metres above sea level. The highest mountain in Austria is the Großglockner.
