Where do you stay/are you from? I live in Oregon USA. I was born and raised here.
What inspired you to learn Gaelic (it's ok to say you don't know)? I have always wanted to learn another language and Gaelic is a very beautiful and old language. I am determined to make it over to Scotland someday. My maiden name is Reay, and I would love to visit the town of Reay.
What tips do you have for other Gaelic learners? No tips yet. I am at the beginning.
How do you use Gaelic in your daily lives? How I uses it in my daily life: I have note cards posted around my kitchen with words and phrases. I take note cards and my notebook in the car with me. I talk to my dog in Gaelic. My kids and husband give me blank looks . Throughout the day I replace words I see with the Gaelic if I know them. I have written the Lords prayer in the back of my Bible to work on and memorize also John 1:1. When I find other words I note them in the spaces of my Bible. I am using this site and another plus some pages copied off of the internet. Trying to hit every angle. Two friends of mine have agreed to start a "Coal biters" club where we can learn and read the language together. I also started a blog so I will be inspired to "write" in Gaelic also.
Do you have a favourite Gaelic expression? The favorite expression that I am working on to memorize is : na toilich do mhian gus am feuch thu do sporan. Check your purse before you please yourself.
