Don't panic! English follows the Gaelic!

Rugadh mi ann an Sasainn o chionn fhada! Ràinig mi Ameireagaidh ann an 1960. Dh'obraich mi son fichead bliadhna sa Chabhlach Mharsanta ann am Ameireagaidh mar oifigear rèidio-dealantach, mar as trice ann an tancaichean. Leig mi dhìom mo dreuchd ann an 2002. Tha mi a' fuireach ann an Tràigh Vero, Florida. Bha sinn a' fuireach ann an Colorado son fichead bliadhna. Bidh mi ag obrachadh rèidio mar chur-seachad. Bha mi ann an airm Bhreatainn agus nuair a bha mi ann am BAOR (mar a bha e), dh'ionnsaich mi Gearmailtis, agus aig aon àm, bha mi fileanta. Tha mi ag ionnsachadh Sìnis Mandarin le làrach cànain a' BhBC. Agus, Gàidhlig tha teaghlach agam san Eilean Dubh.

I was born in England, a long time ago! Came to USA in 1960. Worked 20 years in the US Merchant Marine (Merchant Navy) as an Electronic-Radio Officer, mostly on tankers. Now retired since 2002. Living in Vero Beach, Florida, We lived over 20 years in Colorado. I am an Amateur radio operator (Hobby) N0MM. I served in the British Regular Army (RAMC), and one of the benefits of my time in BAOR (As it then was) is that I learned German, once pretty fluently (Aber leide ohne uebung vergisst man viel! Without practice, unfortunately, you forget a lot! ) I am now in the process of learning Mandarin Chinese, with the great BBC languages website! And of course Scottish Gaelic, a heritage thing for me having relatives from the Black Isle area.
