My name is Philip and I come from Australia. I live on a small farm with my wife, our older son and our small daughter. My grandfather was learning Gaelic with a tape and books when I was young. He bought them in Scotland. I'm forty-four years old and am trying it now. It is not easy, but with practice improvement comes. I would like to see Scotland sometime. A lot of my ancestors came from the Highlands. We enjoy celtic music and my wife plays the bagpipes. We hope that our daughter will come to know the music and the language. The picture was of her - her name is Isobel and she's two years old now. She has a little Gaelic already and her favourite Gaelic phrase is "I love you"! Her brother is not interested in Gaelic just now however. He's a teenager!
