The winners were eventually announced at a press conference in Los Angeles. Michael Greene, president of both the Recording Academy and the Latin Recording Academy, has promised "a spectacular worldwide celebration" to make up for last year. The ceremony will take place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, which has become the new permanent home of the Oscars, and also played host to the final of American Idol.
