'Have your say' on school changes
A teachers' leader has urged people to have their say on proposals to make sweeping changes to Shropshire's primary school network.

The county council has launched a consultation on the plans, which could threaten the future of some schools.

Chris Huss, who sits on the council's central policy group, said it was vital teachers, governors and parents made their voices heard.

Falling pupil numbers means change is needed, according to education chiefs.

Mr Huss said: "The reorganisation proposals that have been put forward could affect all schools in some form or another."

A growing number of unfilled school places means the local education authority is receiving less government funding.
