Meeting over school merger plans
A decision on two schools in Shropshire which are facing closure is to be made next week.

Bicton Church of England School and Grafton Primary School could be merged under modernisation plans by Shropshire County Council.

A meeting is to be held next Tuesday where the proposal will be discussed.

The county council is proposing a new 1.3m school at Bicton to house 133 pupils from both schools and to replace both existing buildings.

Shropshire County Council says the new building will have more facilities and there will be a free bus service for children living in Grafton.
