| Two rural Shropshire schools may merge in the latest modernisation plan unveiled by the county council. The primary schools at Bicton and Grafton may both go to make way for a brand new school. Bicton primary school has 104 pupils in an 1860 building. Grafton primary has just 29 pupils in a building built for the RAF in the second world war. The county council is proposing a new 1.3m school at Bicton to replace both existing buildings.
