Plan to merge two rural schools
Two rural Shropshire schools may merge in the latest modernisation plan unveiled by the county council.

The primary schools at Bicton and Grafton may both go to make way for a brand new school.

Bicton primary school has 104 pupils in an 1860 building. Grafton primary has just 29 pupils in a building built for the RAF in the second world war.

The county council is proposing a new 1.3m school at Bicton to replace both existing buildings.
