Iggy Pop closed The Other Stage on Saturday night with a typically manic performance. He jumped into the crowd during his set and had to be removed by security. The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers wore a lurex suit for his set. The American band rounded off Saturday night's line-up on the Pyramid Stage. Earlier, Birmingham quartet Editors appeared on the Other Stage with their more soberly dressed frontman Tom Smith. As the party went on around them, organisers did their best to clear the mud. But like this young music fan, most festival goers were dirty but not defeated by the conditions. Scottish singer Paolo Nutini performed a soulful set on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday. So too did elder statesman of rock Paul Weller who strutted his stuff for the delighted crowd. Rock band The Kooks, led by frontman Luke Pritchard, followed Weller onto the Pyramid Stage. With more rain forecast for Sunday, the wellies were certainly out in force.
