'Legalised vandalism' accusation
Town Market
Mr Chilcott says details of the contract should be disclosed
A conservationist and former island deputy has accused Guernsey States of "legalised vandalism" over the redevelopment of the town markets.

Bob Chilcott claims far too much of the building has been destroyed when only a simple refurbishment was needed.

He claims islanders are being kept in the dark and says the States should reveal the plans for the property.

"People of Guernsey and the majority of States members have no clue what's included in that contract," he said.
