Island trader criticises States
Guernsey States has been accused of going back on its word over the treatment of market traders.

Shop owner Brian Le Prevost says he has been told to move out of his premises with a month's notice to enable work to continue on the markets site.

He claims that was not part of the original plan, and says traders in St Peter Port are being treated badly.

Treasury and Resources Minister Lyndon Trott said he had no comment to make on Mr Le Prevost's claims.

Mr Le Prevost said: "The States promised to keep the market people as they should be, but they've reneged on their promises."
