Group's plan to regenerate town
St Peter Port
The group will tackle issues such as high rent and lack of parking
Traders in Guernsey are discussing ways to regenerate the oldest parts of St Peter Port.

The Old Quarter Association met on Thursday evening and is hoping to give a voice to workers in the town.

The group will serve as a forum for shop owners who had businesses on or near Mill Street.

Its main aim will be to address on-going issues such as the town's markets, high rents and the lack of parking.

Group chairman Jonathan Jorgenson says he was pleased with the outcome.

He said: "Quite honestly it was a very good meeting. We hit on a lot of issues and also came to an understanding.

"We know we've got to work together on this and this is our aim for the future."
