Breath tests bring more charges
More people in Guernsey have been charged with drink driving over the Christmas period following the introduction of roadside breath tests.

Nineteen people were arrested and 14 charged, compared with last year when 14 were arrested and only seven were over the drink-drive limit.

The tests are a joint initiative between the police and the island's Drug Strategy team.

Police are urging people to ensure they can get home safely on New Year's Eve.
