Roadside breath tests from police
Breathalyser
Police will arrest drivers who refuse to be breathalysed
The use of roadside breathalyser tests have come into force for the first time in Guernsey.

As part of a major scheme to reduce drink-driving, the police have been given powers to use the new equipment.

It means drivers can be stopped and tested on the spot without having to be taken to the police station to give breath samples.

Police also have the power to arrest any motorists who refuse to be tested with the new equipment.
