Playground closed after vandalism
Playground swings
Children living in a Jersey estate will not be able to use a playground anymore because of continued vandalism.

The play area at Nicholson Close and Pillar Gardens is being closed and dismantled because of the problems.

Equipment at the 15,000 facility has been sprayed with graffiti.

There have also been occasions when rubber safety mats have been pulled up or burned.

The Housing Committee has now decided to take away the equipment and put it on a different estate.

A workman recently had a firework thrown at him while he was clearing up and fixing a child's slide.

The Housing Committee is warning that tenants who cause any problems will be evicted.
