Vandals could close playground
A Jersey playground could be closed if vandals do not stop attacking it.

Equipment in the play area at Nicholson Close and Pillar Gardens has had graffiti sprayed on it and safety mats have been pulled up or burned.

Contractors working for Housing say nearly every day for the past three weeks they have had to repair work they had completed the day before.

One workman had a firework thrown at him while he was clearing up and staples were put into a child's slide.

Housing Maintenance Manager Carl Mavity warned there was a possibility the playground would be closed and removed.

He called on residents to get together and report the vandals to housing and the police.
