Increased police patrols after vandalism
Police
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the latest incidents of vandalism
Jersey police have announced there will be extra patrols in the St Marks Road area of town following a spate of vandalism.

Cars and property have been damaged in several incidents in the past two weeks.

The area was the subject of the island's first resident's parking scheme and it appears it is their cars which have been particularly targeted by vandals.

Homes have also been attacked, one house had its entire guttering system ripped off and smashed.

Appeal for witnesses

Chief superintendent Lenny Harper said officers will be watching the area more closely in future.

"There will be increased patrols in that area during relevant times for the foreseeable future as part of our ongoing examination of the way we try and combat crime," he said.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the latest incidents.
