Ras Kwame talks to unsigned RnB artist Ethniq. Listen to the interview and hear exclusive tracks
Ethniq on being unsigned
"I'd definitely love to get signed but if the only way of getting my stuff out there is with my team... As long as Ethniq is out there and the people, the public, the masses, can hear me, that's it!"
On recordings "It's only recently that it's started coming out, it's like an avalanche, everything's just started picking up."
On professional vocal training
"I do breathing exercises... It's not yoga. It helps when you're doing long notes, you can really push it out. You can range. You can get high notes. It's coming from your stomach. You can pull it out from deep down inside you..."
On his musical style "I draw from different musicians and try to fuse everything into one with my own style. I've been compared to different people depending on what I'm singing or what track it is. But that's all good."
