CRACKING CRIME DAY
Bank statements
Identity theft is becoming increasingly common in the UK.

Don't leave bank or credit card statements lying around. Also be aware that domestic bills and important documents such as passports, can be targets for an intruder.

Put them away in a safe or a lockable filing cabinet so they are not easy to find, or keep them in a hidden place out of obvious view.

You should also be careful when disposing of financial documents. You should shred or finely tear up paperwork with bank, credit card and address details.
