Dier sets the pace
Padraig Harrington is six shots off the pace
Padraig Harrington is six shots off the pace
Tobias Dier, who equalled the lowest ever score on the European Tour in the first round of the TNT Dutch Open, is still out in front after completing his second round.

The German opened up with a 60 on Thursday and he followed up with a 67 to lie 13 under par and take a three-shot lead.

"Today was very steady, I'm not making many mistakes but I just did not hole that many putts, that was the difference," said Dier, who has yet to record a bogey in 36 holes.

England's Jamie Spence and Australia's Peter Lonard are the nearest challengers on 10 under par.

Good finish

Spence finished in style with an eagle on the 18th, to add to another on the 12th, as he came home in 30 for a second-round 64.

England's Mark Roe also shot a 64 and he is one stroke behind Spence on nine under.

Pre-tournament favourite Padraig Harrington and Worthing's Gary Evans, who both missed out on the four-way play-off for the Open at Muirfield by one shot, are on seven under.

Former European number one Lee Westwood carded a 66 on Friday to lie four under.

South African Trevor Immelman became the second player to hit a hole in one in the event, following British golfer Mark Foster, when he aced the 15th.
