| Tuesday, 11 February, 2003, 22:50 GMT Dibble fined by FA Wrexham goalkeeper Andy Dibble has been fined for his part in a dispute with supporters during the Dragons' defeat at Hartlepool last October. Dibble, a former Hartlepool player, was accused of making gestures to Pool supporters after being the subject of taunts and allegedly having objects thrown at him from behind the goal at Victoria Park. An FA panel decided to fine the former Wales international but not impose a ban. Meanwhile, Wrexham are giving a trial to free-scoring Caersws striker Graham Evans, 22, and Bangor City midfielder Owain Tudur Jones, 17. Evans, the son of former Wrexham player Mickey, and Jones,18, are spending the week training with Denis Smith's side and have played for the club's reserves. "We have an open mind about where to look for good quality players and I hope both players do themselves justice during their time with us," Smith told the Wrexham website. |
