Andy Morrell inspired Wrexham to their biggest home win since September as they beat sorry Southend 3-0.

The Dragons created the better first-half chances, with Lee Trundle taking advantage of a quick free-kick to bring a good save from Darryl Flahavan.

And they took the lead when Paul Edwards' cross was met by Carlos Edwards on the volley, his shot rocketing home from just inside the box after 15 minutes.

Wrexham doubled their margin shortly after the restart with Trundle crossing for Morrell to head home his 22nd of the season.

Southend offered little in attack and Wrexham wrapped up the points after 75 minutes when Morrell flicked on for Edwards to blast home from distance.
