The 21-year-old former England Schoolboy international is looking forward to battling it out with new recruit Andy Dibble as the Dragons look to bounce back into the Second Division. "I'm happy at agreeing an extension to my deal and now I'm looking forward to training with Andy," said Rogers. "He is certainly an experienced goalkeeper and I believe he's looking to get more involved with coaching, so that can only be of benefit to both myself and Paul Whitfield." Rogers, who made over 30 appearances for Wrexham last season, added: "We seem to be getting a good mixture of youth and experience in the squad, and at this stage I'm fairly optimistic of our chances." It all adds up to a good week for Wrexham fans, who heard their club had been taken over by businessman Mark Guterman on Tuesday. |
