Perez moves to Stevenage
Former Sunderland goalkeeper Lionel Perez has signed for Nationwide Conference side Stevenage Borough.

Perez, who also had a spell with Newcastle United, has linked up with the relegation strugglers following an injury to Mark Westhead.

The 35-year-old Frenchman was released by Cambridge United last summer and becomes the latest in a clutch of new faces signed by new Boro boss Graham Westley.

Westley is still in contract talks with Justin Gregory, Danny Carroll and Nathan Bunce, who were released from Westley's former club, Farnborough Town, earlier this week.

He also hopes to sign a striker from another Conference club before Saturday's game against Morecambe.

Leaving Broadhall Way is former Brighton, Cambridge and Exeter City defender Jamie Campbell, expected to join another Conference side.

Young strikers Jack Midson and Adam Furness are being loaned to Hayes and Ware, respectively.
