1928: Emile Heskey's first-half header gives Liverpool all three points at a sodden St Mary's.

1851: Michael Owen misses a golden chance to score a second for Liverpool.

1840: The second half gets underway at a sodden St Mary's.

1758: Heskey is through on goal again, but this time is denied by Antti Niemi. Saints though look brittle at the back, with Liverpool threatening every time they come forward.

1751: Southampton 0-1 Liverpool
Emile Heskey heads home a John Arne Riise free-kick.

1738: Liverpool start well, forcing Antti Niemi into two early saves.

1735 GMT: The game at St Mary's kicks off.

Team news: Jo Tessem partners James Beattie for Saints, while Michael Owen and Emile Heskey starts in attack for Liverpool.

Laurent Robert sends over a superb cross from the left which Craig Bellamy converts.

Having hauled Everton level, new recruit Brian McBride takes a reverse pass from Tomasz Radzinski in his stride and thumps the Toffees in front.

Brian McBride bundles Everton level, his second goal since moving to Goodison.

Mark Fish puts the Addicks ahead after a mad scramble in the Bolton box.


1547: Robbie Keane has a goal for Spurs ruled out at Villa Park because strike partner Teddy Sheringham is offside.

Kevin Phillips expertly finds Kevin Kilbane who fires the visitors ahead against the run of play.

1424: Man Utd take all three points thanks to Diego Forlan's late strike.

1423: Substitute Juan Veron does superbly to set up Diego Forlan who smashes home what must be the winner for United in the 93rd minute.

1410: Roy Keane twists and turns in the box, but blasts badly wide on his left foot.

1400: David Beckham sends over another superb cross from the right, but Ruud van Nistelrooy's goalbound header is somehow kept out by Carlo Cudicini. A truly world-class save from the Chelsea keeper.

1340: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hits the post from a few yards out.

1330: Ryan Giggs replaces Phil Neville for Man Utd as the second half gets underway.

1311: Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Carlo Cudicini's poor clearance falls straight to David Beckham, whose pinpoint cross is emphatically headed home by Paul Scholes.

1302: Man Utd 0-1 Chelsea
Emmanuel Petit pierces the Man Utd defence with a perfect through ball and Eidur Gudjohnsen beats Fabien Barthez with a deft finish.

1250: A scrappy opening 20 minutes with no clear cut chances for either side.

1245: Chelsea bring on Gianfranco Zola for the injured Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

1237: Chelsea have started the better, forcing a succession of early corners.

1230 GMT: Referee Paul Durkin gets the game underway.
