Matt Robinson and Jefferson Louis scored as Oxford comfortably defeated struggling Bristol Rovers.

Rovers have now lost their last seven straight league matches and seem vulnerable at the back and short of confidence in attack.

Robinson's volley took a wicked deflection to leave home goalkeeper Scott Howie stranded.

And Louis capitalised on a bad error by Rovers skipper Adam Barrett to fire home the killer second goal.

Substitute Dave Gilroy shot narrowly wide for Rovers, who found it hard to create chances against a well organised defence.

Louis went close to a third goal for Oxford goal but narrowly missed the target.
