Hartlepool 2-1 Lincoln City

Third Division leaders Hartlepool fought back for a win after spending an hour a goal down to battling Lincoln.

Two goals in four minutes earned the victory and condemned City to their first defeat in five games.

Lincoln shook the home side by taking the lead in the first minute, Adie Mike hitting the net with a towering header after a right-wing corner by Stuart Bimson.

Hartlepool spent the rest of the first half attacking, but could not find a breakthrough.

Two quickfire goals gave Hartlepool the lead midway through the second half.

Adam Boyd equalised in the 62nd minute with a brilliant overhead kick from 15 yards and three minutes later fellow striker Eifion Williams scored for the fifth time this season after a great run by Ritchie Humphreys.

Hartlepool: Anthony Williams, Barron, Lee, Westwood, Robinson, Clarke, Tinkler, Widdrington, Humphreys, Eifion Williams, Boyd. Subs: Provett, Simms, Henderson, Arnison, Robson.

Lincoln City: Marriott, Futcher, Morgan, Logan, Bailey, Willis, Weaver, Gain, Bimson, Yeo, Mike. Subs: Pettinger, Cropper, Camm, Mayo, Buckley.

Referee: M Ryan (Lancashire)
