Mansfield blew the Third Division promotion wide open with a superb 2-1 win over fellow high-fliers Cheltenham.

The Stags leapfrogged the visitors back into third place thanks to a 76th-minute strike from Andy White.

After a delayed kick-off to let Mansfield's biggest crowd of the season file into Field Mill, the hosts made the perfect start when Chris Greenacre netted from close range.

But Cheltenham deservedly levelled after 25 minutes when Mark Yates headed home Russell Milton's free-kick.

A Scott Sellars free-kick cam back off a post as Mansfield went in search of a winner after the break before White diverted home Bobby Hassell's low cross.
