JSK in four-goal romp
JSK are seeking their third sucessive Caf Cup title
The Algerian club want the Caf Cup for keeps

Algerian side Jeunesse Sportive Kabylie defeated 10-man Tonnerre Yaounde 4-0 in Algiers in the first-leg final of the Confederation of African Football (Caf) Cup trophy.

The result will be an enormous advantage for the Algerian side, who are bidding for a third consecutive title, ahead of the return match in Yaounde.

Defeat for Tonnerre did not come as a surprise, but the heavy score line will be embarrassing for the former African Cup Winners Cup champions.

Tonnerre conceded the first goal after just two minutes through Amaouche who pounced on a poor catch by the Cameroon keeper.

But although Tonnerre crumbled, the Cameroonian side showed some flashes of what the Algerians should expect in Yaounde.

After the early goal Tonnerre displayed some neat interchanges and looked dangerous on the break.

The Cameroon side took time over their build-up play but Kabylie began to impose themselves.

And Tonnerre's hopes of a comeback were hit by the dismissal of midfielder Mani who received a red card for stamping on Djoudar.

Confusion

On the stroke of half time, Berguiga scored the second goal, taking advantage of confusion in defence and a leaden-footed keeper to head home.

Berguiga completed his double after he was left unmarked with only the keeper to beat six minutes from the end after Drioueche had made it 3-0 with a superb header from a corner kick.

An attempt by Robert Sessay to grab a consolation for Tonnerre yielded nothing, and Kabylie could have increased the winning margin as Mounir Dob and Berguiga came close.

Tonnerre should not be underestimated in two weeks time, but a hat-tick of titles is almost assured for the Algerians.

The second leg of the Caf Cup final will be played in Yaounde on 24 November.
