The Senegalese FA says it has offered French coach Guy Stephan the job of coaching the Lions, but he has not yet accepted the offer. FA president Malick Sy met with Stephan for a third time at the weekend to discuss the deal, but the coach's decision will not be known for a fortnight. Stephan, who was assistant coach to France at the World Cup, is employed by the French FA as a development officer. He said he will have to carefully consider whether to leave his current post. Last week Senegal's FA said it had signed Stephan as coach, but had to work out the details of the contract.
