Ayorinde has been a journeyman in several countries |
By Simon Reeves Nigerian striker Samuel Ayorinde hit the Swedish headlines with a memorable debut for AIK Solna.
He scored three goals in Solna's 4-0 bashing of Cafe Opera.
The 28-year-old striker broke the deadlock after 20 minutes and added a second five minutes later.
Congolese Martin Mutumba made it 3-0 before Ayorinde got his hat trick in the 89th minute.
Ayorinde joined AIK last summer but found it difficult to break into the team.
He was briefly loaned to lower division club, Assyriska.
New AIK coach Richard Money, who was in charge for the first time, was so impressed with Ayorinde's form in training that he gave him his debut.
Ayorinde, who has played in Wales, Israel, England, and Finland, now hopes he can snatch a permanent shirt in the team.
Competition for places at AIK is tough, however, with the presence of Swedish internationals in the team.
