Zuma frustrated by Copenhagen

FC Copenhagen's South African midfielder Sibusiso Zuma says he is anxious to leave the club and will walk out as soon as his contract expires.

Speaking after scoring a winner in his team's 2-1 victory over Brndby in the Danish league on Saturday, Zuma said he was disappointed and unhappy with the way he has been treated since his move from Pirates in 2000.

And he added that he felt the club had not paid him properly in comparison to other players.

"I have played for nothing for a long time, it is like I am just playing for free," Zuma told BBC Sport Online.

"It's crazy. I am really disappointed. It has been like this for almost two years here.

"What I know is that I am just a boy from Africa, who they got there for nothing. I am really tired; I want to finish their contract and go".

Zuma added his desire is to move to a bigger club under the Bosman ruling once his contract is up.

"There have been a lot offers from big clubs in Europe but there is always a big price," he said.

"But if I leave as a free agent there will be a lot of chances of getting a team".

Fleming Oestergaard
Oestergaard says he believes Zuma will stay
However, FC Copenhagen chairman Flemming Oestergaard said he believed Zuma was happy and would renew his deal.

"There is a good understanding between the club and Zuma," Oestergaard said.

"Zuma likes Denmark and I think he is very satisfied with what we offer him.

"We haven't come to final negotiations we will do that in short time but we will continue to work with Zuma here." he added.

The Bafana Bafana player joined FC Copenhagen from Pirates of South Africa two years ago and he won the Danish player of the year award last year.
