| Wednesday, 6 November, 2002, 14:57 GMT FA looks for new boss ![]() Crozier was FA chief for almost three years The search for Adam Crozier's successor as chief executive of the English Football Association will begin next week, the FA has confirmed. Crozier resigned after refusing to compromise on his opposition to plans put forward by Premier League chairmen to take more control of the game. His departure was followed by that of the FA's vice-chairman Frank Pattison on Monday. "Our recruitment for a new chief executive will begin following our board meeting next week," chairman Geoff Thompson told the FA's website. "I will consult the board on the process to be followed for this important appointment. "In the meantime, the FA's existing executive management team will continue to look after the FA's day-to-day operations under the guidance and supervision of the FA's board. "The team has the full support and confidence of the board and everyone within the team has acted extremely professionally following the decisions of both Adam and Frank to step down." Thompson added that the search for a new technical director to replace Howard Wilkinson, who took over at Sunderland last month, would also be discussed at the meeting. |
