| Mongia sees India home Harbhajan Singh has Brian Lara dismissed Third one-day international, Barbados: India 187-3 (43.5 overs) v West Indies 186 all out (44.5 overs) India win by seven wickets Dinesh Mongia hit a rapid 74 as India crushed West Indies by seven wickets in the third one-day international. They now lead the five-match limited overs series 1-0 after the first two matches in the series were washed out. The tourists reached the 187-run victory target with 31 balls to spare at the Kensington Oval. Left-hander Mongia, coming in a the fall of the first wicket, lead the charge with a 113-ball innings that included nine fours.
Earlier West Indies captain Carl Hooper hit an unbeaten 76 but India bowled out West Indies for 186 after putting the home side in to bat in the third one-day international on Wednesday. The game was reduced to 49 overs after a rain interruption. Paceman Tinu Yohannan struck two quick blows to remove Wavell Hinds and Chris Gayle as West Indies slumped to 45 for two. Brian Lara went cheaply, hitting off-spinner Harbhajan Singh to mid-wicket. Skipper Hooper and Sarwan rebuilt the innings with 87-run partnership for the fourth wicket. But wickets started to tumble once Sarwan was bowled for 44 by occasional off-spinner Virender Sehwag. Ajit Agarkar mopped up the tail as seven wickets fell for 46 runs. The home side won the five-Test series 2-1.
